Anybody out there managed to disassemble there YT-2400? I can get all around the main body apart easily but toward the bridge/cockpit I can't get it to pop... Anyone out there that can help with pictures of one apart so I can see where it's glued or whatever and maybe get mine apart without destroying it.
YT-2400 Disassembly Help
I'm sure one of the other modders will help out with a reply, its early in the day yet. Here's a bttt!
I haven't had the need to take apart a YT-2400 (yet) so I can't really help you. Of course, in the worst case scenario you can always use the Jeremy Clarkson method. ![]()

I had to disassemble my YT-2400 as there was big (3-4mm) gap above the engine. It seems that the upper and lower part were incorrectly glued in the factory.
Unfortunately I did not take any pictures, but I can give you the advice, that the smaller engine part (with the separate hull-beam) is a separate part. It is glued to the main hull and the small engine is stucked over a bolt behind the cockpit. I could remove this part quite easily.
To repair my ship I had to remove the pin/sleeve inside the ship behind the big engine to close the gap. I carefully added plastic glue and used clothespins until the glue was cured.
I finally got mine apart with minimum "damage" or as I like to call it, character marks...
I already did a bit of trimming on some points to make it easier to put back together but here are a couple shots of where it actually came apart. This one was definitely more of a PITA than the VT-49 which came apart easy and in only two pieces... This one is like a 3D jigsaw puzzle.
