Copy effects and Limited triggered effects.

Can you copy a limited effect such as Flaming-Pitch Tower?

While the (limit one limited response per round) is part of the card effect (AFAIK) and that part is copied...

how about the actual effect type? Is the copy of an effect considered a response (the type of the copy card) or the original effect copied.

Hence why it doesn't seem as straigtfoward then say copying Den of the Wolf or Dornish Law which have the restrictions in the effect itself.

It's the same question as "can I copy a 'Limit 1 per game' effect," just asked a different way.

First, Limits are always applied when the effect is initiated, so they are never part of the effect. They are play restrictions.

Second, when you use a copy, ask yourself what you initiated. Did you trigger the original effect, or did you trigger the copy effect? You are triggering the copy effect, right? So unless your copy effect is also a Limited Response, the "Limit 1 Limited Response per round" doesn't apply. That is, you didn't trigger a Limited Response, so the "Limit 1 per Round" has no impact. (It has long been established that if you are using an event to copy a character ability, it can affect a character that is immune to character abilities because it was an event that was initiated. Same thing here.)

So you see, the same logic that lets you copy a "Limit 1 per game" effect lets you copy a Limited Response as well.

Thanks.
