Anyone want to get together and play?

By JessiJean, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

My husband and I just picked up Arkham Horror. We have read the rules, watched it played and generally understand all the basic concepts. But we would love to get together and play a game with some people who are more familiar with Arkham! We aren't new to board games in general, but since this game is so rule-heavy we were a little nervous we would incorrectly implement some of the more detailed rules, and be forever shunned. We would love some experts to show us the ropes!

Let me know if anyone is down for some game play at the Fantasy Flight Game Center in Roseville, MN! :D

JessiJean,

The offer is very kind...but nobody knows where you live.

As this is your first post, Welcome to the Carnival! :P

You're in for a treat...once you get past the poorly edited rules, you'll have a blast with this game for many, many years to come. I've been playing for nearly six years, and have logged nearly 150 games, while my friend, Julia, whom you'll see out here with even greater frequency than me has logged 350+ games. We're here to help...even if we can't make it over to your place for gaming and snacks...we understand you make a mean baked brie appetizer ;)

Cheers,

Joe

Ha! Good point! Edited my post to include that. We live near the Fantasy Flight Game Center, and I mistakenly thought that was implied.

But thank you for the feedback! I hear such fantastic things about this game and I THINK we're implementing all the minute rules correctly. But there's so many I'm constantly referring to the rule book to be sure. I will be sure to refer to this group for clarification though.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, as well! If you're ever near DC, stop by for a game!
