Dumb Question about Stay on Target

By barabelsftw, in X-Wing Rules Questions

So I've been running this list lately:

Keyan with HLC, Advanced Sensors, Stay on Target (41)

Blue squadron (22)

3 bandits (36)

Had good experiences with it and I like that I can make sure super dashes at ps 7 move before farlander. Stay on target with advanced sensors is really useful to keep keyan target locked, stressed, and pointed at a target. A lot of the time I intentionally pick a less than useful dial direction so I can rotate it to what I really want and make it red.

So my question is this: If I have keyan pointed at a white or green maneuver can I use stay on target to rotate it back to the original and just make it red? My gut answer is no and that would be ok because I get a lot of mileage out of it anyways.

The answer is indeed no. In order to treat you maneuver as red, you have to change it first.

You might want to select a red maneuver from the beginning. The 2 k-turn gives you a lot of options.

That's what I normally do anyways. 1's and 2's have so many options so I usually pick a red one and rotate it to whatever works. Thanks!

I need to try that out...sounds fun and pretty creative.

It is a good deal of fun. I was trying to build a list that can compete with PTL Dashes and has enough firepower to take decimators down before they dismantle a list. The PTL Super-Dash is big in my meta.

Sounds like fun I got to give it a try. Asteroids might still be a problem.
