You'd have a point if the devs hadn't admitted things do need fixing.

And while every demand for a fix may not be valid some of them are.

This might have been funny if it had been the slightest bit original. The very first so-called "satire" thread on the inclusiveness thing was a mildly amusing way to make a point and even then was arguably not the best move.

The twenty-five or so copycat thread since have taken that dead horse and pulverised it.

You really feel it was necessary to create a new topic for this? It's a very passive aggressive way to try and make a point. If you disagree with the notion of ships needing a "fix", there are already several ongoing discussions. There's no need to open another one veiled in sarcasm. It just adds to noise while belittling the views of others. Please try and be more constructive.

I just thought the number and length of threads suddenly popping up requiring all kinds of fixes for all kinds of ships was rather ridiculous. Personally, I only just actually got the Decimator and YT-2400, and I haven't tried out Scum yet. While FFG on the other hand is certainly 2, if not 3, waves ahead of what has been announced and probably already solved most of the currently discussed balance problems and is struggling with entirely new ones already.

It's also the nature of the discussion that has been changing. The TIE Advanced was an easy target for such discussion for a while, because it really did have some glaring weaknesses. In my humble opinion, yes, there are weaknesses with some pilots for some ships indeed, and threads like this one actually explore them nicely. But the thing is, these are really minor weaknesses at this point. It's not like the X-Wing is suddenly not to be found in any lists any more, it just lost its dominance in the 20-ish points bracket.

This is a living game. Power levels shift up and down constantly. If there are big problems for any of the ships that are just never flown, and they haven't been fixed in a while, it's perfectly fine to talk about that (because we'd all love to be able to fly all ships competitively).

Personally, I believe that you all are right. Indeed, the game is currently in a state where high PS is able to dominate the game, while in the first few waves, high PS was never actually showing up at all. Pilots, abilities, maneuvering, and shooting first have all become more important than overwhelming the opponent with a swarm. I'm absolutely certain that FFG is well aware of this and looking to balance things out in the other direction ... and then it will swing slightly too far for some, and we'll again have lots of tantrums about swarm dominance. That's what a living game is - swinging back and forth in power levels.

Remember a few months ago, when everybody was in uproar because there was only "one viable list", Fat Han? Well, now, there are four again. Mostly turrets, sure, but isn't a mobility upgrade against turrets on the horizon already? That'll properly shake things up I'm sure.

As long as the swings are as minor as they are now, with the TIE Advanced about to be fixed, I really don't see reason for as much concern as there seems to be right now. FFG has a fairly good history when it comes to balancing living games. I'm looking forward to lots more fun with this game.

ALL of the ships are great now, even dat Y-Winga and dat TIE Daddy.

The Falcon still should have a natural Barrel Roll, and be able to ignore terrain cause it was in da-Empire-movie.

So you (like many others in the past) felt the need to create an entire thread to mock it? Exhibit A for what's wrong with this forum at the moment.

The phrase "entirely new ones" suggests you haven't done your research before deciding The X-wing's issues have existed since late Wave 3 . There are plenty of balance issues in need of resolution, it's just the smaller ones are overshadowed by the bigger ones: it's a matter of priority. You can't really suggest the X-wing and TIE bomber are in need of help when you've got the TIE advanced hanging over everything.

Lost its presence in the 20 point bracket and became rare elsewhere. For most ships this wouldn't be too much cause for concern but it's the X-wing, the eponymous ship of the game. Compare how much people care about the X-wing to how much they care about the completely absent E-wing generics.
