Allies and villains we really need! Boba Fett, Leia R2-D2, Starkiller...

By sdh007, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

Well so far I just have the core game and thus Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader (awesome!).

Now when i look at the current packs for both sides I feel we're missing some key allies/villains.

For the Imperial side:

- Boba Fett: come on, he's mentioned on some cards but not in the game, not even as a token? That's not cool at all! He's one of the best bounty hunters, probably has mobile (due to his jetpack), can ensare enemies and use a flamethrower.

- A human cyborg: a mix of a healing and techexpert unit, equiped with a blaster. Being able to heal Imperial units and able to close/open any door (without attacking or testing attributes) and an additional surge is needed for the Rebels to interact with terminals,... .

For the Rebel side:

- Princess Leia: she kinda started the rebellion but isn't in the game? She's a mix between a leader and a jedi. She could boost the rebels around her, giving a player an extra activation token and has limited force abilities

- A Trandoshian hunter: equipped with a blade, this character would be kinda be your scout character. Being able to determine a certain hostile group as it's Prey, he becomes focused when fighting them.

- R2-D2: comon, the lil funny astromech droid! He automaticly passes any attribute test that consider terminals, doors,... Other then that he has a rifle, is mobile (remebering the trusters on the side) and does extra damage if Luke Skywalker is on the board as well.

The Force Unleashed:

This may be too controversial for some people but... Galen Marek/Starkiller (videogame Force Unleashed) ? He could be acquirted by a side mission and the winner gets him...if the Rebels win, he breaks free of the Dark Side and becomes Galen Marek again; if the Imperials win then he remains a servant of Darth Vader, named Starkiller.

If I remember correctly, then Starkiller is mentioned between Epsiode 3 and 4. So technicaly, he isn't in the era as Imperial Assault. But...he is first a lil boy and gets abducted by Darth Vader. Now when he reaches adulthood, some years have passed. So maybe, maybe, he could have been in the Imperial Assault era when he is adult.

The canon version states that he turns away from the Dark Side and sacrifces himself to save General Kota and Bail Organa. But who wants to have everything canon right? :P

Also if they keep to the canon version of the game, then the Rebels could gain General Kota (blind Jedi who gives usefull insight; kinda like Qui-Gon Jinn) and the Imperials could gain Maris Brood (a female Zabrak Sith Apprentice).

If not Starkiller, then the concept should stay I feel. A force user that could become a Jedi Padawan or a Sith Apprentice.

Please share your thoughts on this and maybe who you will like to see in ally/villain packs. I have many more ideas for future packs :P

Imperials:

Mara Jade, Admiral Thrawn, Grand Moff Tarkin, Snowtroopers and Speedbikes/Scout

Rebels: Lando and a HUUUGE bunch of Ewoks

i'm more bothered about getting some more generics.

for example:

- Imperial Scout Troopers

- Imperial Sniper Troopers

- NOT speeders as the game area is far too small for them to work

- Dewback riders for Tatooine would be cool though.

- Scum could have lots of awesome stuff, anything from Black Sun troops to Geonosian warriors

- for the Rebels i'd like to see Wookie/Bothan/other alien troops with their own attributes.

i'm sure we will get many of these, and i can't wait to have real quality options for skirmish squad building.

I was thinking about Mara Jade and Lando aswell...however I thought that they only came into the story later (episode 5 and such). Mara Jade could be a possibility. For Lando, I feel it a bit weird, considering they kinda meet him in The Empire Strikes Back for the very first time (not entirely true as Han remembers him from earlier and Lando was the previous owner of the Milenium Falcon)
