Cracken + Farlander combo, and how to abuse it :D

With news of my Rebel aces arriving (post managed to loose previous shipment in some airport, had to wait 3 months for comfirmation of loss and resending) started brainstorming some new list, and came to idea of abusing Farlander in combat phase, with PTL and engine upgrade. Cracken shoots and Farlander goes into wild dance, preferably into oponents rear arc, and has stress for his shot.

Its lame and situational combo, but i still want to abuse it. Need ideas what ships to add to this

Cracken - 19pt

Farlander+PTL+EU 36 pt gives me 55 points. I have two ideas curently - Bandit and one more small ship (wedge or like) or Chewbacca with predator, but it can be imroved, a lot.

(Have single of every rebel small ship, 2 Z-95 and 2 A-wings + falcon)

I gotta say, I don't really get Cracken + Farlander as a combo. Farlander is going to be pushing the limit to get the stress, and will be stressed when Cracken fires, so the free action he would otherwise get, he can't take.
You could perform an action, wait for Cracken to Fire, then push the limit to get another action (and stress) but you're pretty quickly running out of actions you can perform.
Limiting myself to what you have, I'd look at the following.

Keyan Farlander (29)
Push the Limit (3)
Chewbacca (42)
Draw Their Fire (1)
Jan Ors (2)
Recon Specialist (3)
Millennium Falcon (1)
Airen Cracken (19)
Total: 100

Farlander is there to wreck face, and can gain an evade from the Jan Ors crew card if he is close enough.
Chewie draws the crits on to himself because he ignores them. If he comes under heavy fire he can double focus (from Recon Spec) and turn one of them into an evade with Jan Ors, providing Farlander doesn't need it this turn.
Cracken gives Chewie a second action which can be either Target Lock or Evade via Millenium Falcon title. Cracken gains a little protection from Chewie drawing the crits on to himself as well as Farlander, and can benefit from the Jan Ors Evade if necessary.
I don't know if it's necessarily a good list, but I think it could work and would be fun to play.

The whole point of my combo is to get two movement actions (boost from EU and Barrel) in shooting phase. You can stick wingmen on Cracken to make easier to pull off, and let Farlander use all those red maneuvers

Remember that PtL is a once-per-round deal, so you don't want to use Wingman to pull off Farlander's stress if he's already used it in the activation phase.

Ah yes, the good old Craction Factory.

It's fun and all, but having to get back within Range 1 of Cracken for it to work again makes it pretty much a one-time deal.

He doesn't use it on the activation phase. He moves his ships, do one action with Farlander, Cracken shoots first, gives action to Farlander, Farlander Push the limit there effectively getting 4 actions (one from stress, one in activation phase, 2 on the combat phase).

My only problem with the combo, is that it's kind of telling that you need to focus fire Cracken to break the combo, and most lists can easilly kill a Z.

So while the combo is sound in the paper, how do you make a list to protect Kraken well enough. Also you could call it, Release the Keyan or something like that :P

I've found for 41 points, Farlander with HLC, Advanced Sensors, and Stay on Target is a fun and effective ship to fly. I flew it with 3 bandits and a blue for a total of 99 points which means you can give fat dash builds initiative and move keyan after dash.

Yes, i do believe that this could work but like you said it's easy to kill a Z95.
