Tactician question

By Sweatt, in X-Wing

[After you perform an attack against a ship inside your firing arc at Range 2, that ship receives 1 stress token.]

The way I read it I believe it does. Am I missing something? Tactician gives a Stress even if the attack does not hit?

I want to run 4x Blues with Tactician.

- I can stack stress since I focus fire anyways

- Limit their movement options

- Block their actions

- All damage goes through unlike Ion Cannon

Has anyone tired this?

And this should be in the Rules sub section, just FYI for future :)

But welcome, and enjoy your stay... but yer droids, they'll have to wait outside.

Tactician on a buzzsaw is awesome.

It doesn't matter for the B-Wings you want to use it on, but it is worth reminding people that turrets DO have firing arcs, they can just shoot at targets outside of them. So Tactician on a falcon would not trigger on every single range 2 attack, it still has to be inside the arc.

Like I said, not relevant on B-Wings (except Nera) but worth mentioning.

Yes it's been tried and it's pretty good. :D

Really want to try this on my cr90

Triple Tactician CR-90 can dish out 18 stress.

Is it preferred over Ion Cannon? Which in your opinion is more effective?

I am currently trying to decide on my final list. I have had great success with FCS since I would focus on top of them but that was before Fat Han, Whisper, and that **** Decimator(Eater of B-Wings).

I also know that Sensors is very common and an excellent card for B's but I am more of an offensive player that knows his time is limited. For me more output has always equaled greater success vs more flexibility.

My only other ideas were Daggers with Enhanced Scopes so I can always move first, and in small cases shoot first.

Also I have been testing 4x Blues with 1x Headhunter. The Headhunter gives me more options during the game and does add hit points and a little extra firepower not to mention a blocker. I have been winning with this but I feel as if I am not utilizing it as well as I could be.

Can anyone help a Rookie Pilot out?
