Brushfire Mission - using the AT-ST

In the rules it states that the AT-ST is allowed to move through blocking and impassible terrain. The reference guide says impassible is the dotted red line and blocking is the solid red line.

In the Brushfire mission, the AT-ST starts in the center, surrounded by walls. How does the AT-ST get maneuver out of tile 07? Or...is it designed to just be in the center of the board the entire mission?

"Any figure whose base is larger than one space is a large figure...


A large figure may spend one movement point to rotate 90 degrees (note that this is only necessary for figures with bases that occupy two or six spaces). When doing this, the large figure must still occupy at least half of the spaces it occupied before the rotation" (Page 16, RRG).


So, although Massive figures can't move through walls ("Walls", Page 25, RRG), example 9 on page 27 clearly shows that large/massive figures are permitted to rotate through walls.


This isn't explicitly stated in the rules, so just show the picture to those who want to question the ruling.

So rather than walking a straight line, you simply keep rotating around small openings? And you can still attack anywhere because you have 360 degree firing arc.

Am I doing this correctly?

All units have a 360 firing arc.

But otherwise, yes you are doing it correctly. Also, remember Massive figures ignore all other figures when tracing line of sight, and they shove units out of the way if they end their movement on spaces that already contain other figures.

Hmmm, not quite sure what you're referring to. The picture you cited doesn't show an AT-ST rotating through a wall. It shows an AT-ST rotating through an open gap in a wall 2-spaces wide. The black wall lines end on either side of the AT-ST, but they don't go through the AT-ST itself. Is that what you meant?

Hmmm, not quite sure what you're referring to. The picture you cited doesn't show an AT-ST rotating through a wall. It shows an AT-ST rotating through an open gap in a wall 2-spaces wide. The black wall lines end on either side of the AT-ST, but they don't go through the AT-ST itself. Is that what you meant?

Yes.

If you pick up the AT-ST in it's horizontal position and physically rotate it, it'll pass through the partial wall but it's final vertical position coincides with the rules (massive figures can't end on wall spaces).
