Need help, brain melting!

Ok so I've got the core of my list decided on, which is:

Keyan Farlander - 29pt

- Stay on Target - 2pt

- Advanced Sensors - 3pt

- Heavy Laser Cannon - 7pt

Biggs Darklighter - 25pt

- Experimental Interface - 3pt

- R2-F2 - 3pt

Keeping them within range 1 of each other so Biggs can prolong the life of Keyan(Huge Target)...my question for you guys is what do I do with the remaining 28pts?!? Naked Luke? Loaded up Jake Farrell? Dagger w/ FCS?

If using Biggs with Luke I like draw their fire and R2-D2 on luke, but that's to many points.

Maybe go with 2 Tala pilots?

Or two bandits one with proton rockets.

Ps4. Extra attack dice, same evade dice and overall more hp

I don't really fly Rebels but I have the same feelings towards Biggs as I do to the Doom Shuttle. I'm reluctant to sink extra points into a ship that is ultimately going to die.

Draw their fire on luke?

Pull a crit off biggs for each attack if he gets hit by one, and regen the shields with R2

I don't think lone wolf would be useful especially early on when you want to stay close to biggs

If a friendly game just proxy one in if you and friends are okay with that

YT1300 + Tactical jammer ?

That way biggs will be way more durable, while Keyan does the heavy lifting.

Drop the droid and EI on Biggs, replace with R4D6.

Then use the points to get Luke with DtF and R2D2.

Anytime you take more than 2 hits use R4D6, and pull all the crits onto Luke. It will take the same number of shots to drop Biggs this way (potentially more depending on what is shooting at him).

This gives you the same effective defense level for Biggs, but with the ability to recover one hit per turn using R2D2 and you now have Luke for the end game. It will also get the points off of Biggs and onto a more robust ship, without reducing the number of attacks it will take to eliminate Biggs.

EI+R2F2 is a good combo, but you want to combine it with some other defensive effects like Luke's defensive focus for maximum effect. So you usually put it on Luke, or maybe an E-Wing with Sensor Jammer supported by action help (Cracken, Garven, Squad Leader), rather than Biggs. For all that R2F2+EI is effective, it is also 6 points, and without help it generally barely breaks even vs. 2 hull upgrades (one each on Biggs and Keyan).
