Hello central Texas X-Wing fans!

Starting on Friday, January 2nd 2015, we will be running an X-Wing league. This league will have 2 locations and 2 days. The first location will be at Dragon's Lair on Fridays at 7pm until close. The second location will be at Whose Turn Is It Games on Saturdays at 1pm.

That's right, there will be 2 days and 2 locations you can choose to attend!

We welcome new players and experts alike. If you have never played, someone will be on-hand to teach you how to play (you don't need to buy anything if you just want to learn). I (Jason) will be running the league at Dragon's Lair and Thomas will be running the league at WTIIG. Send me a PM if you have any questions or comments.

These are free events and I encourage everyone to show up and have fun!

Format:

This is a casual league lasting 8 weeks. You will be awarded 3 points for winning a standard (100 point) game, 1 point for losing a standard game, 5 points for winning an epic game, and 3 points for losing an epic game. Additionally, you will be awarded 5 points for teaching a new player how to play.

These points will be added up from both locations. At the end of the league, the top point scores will be awarded prize support (but only at 1 store, no double-dipping).

Tonight starts the first night of league play!

Also, since someone asked me, you are not obligated to attend both events or any future event. This is casual and we would like you to attend any event you are free to do so. The points only serve to track who gets a chance to earn free swag.

Given the weather in Austin for today, I want to urge everyone take caution in attending. I will be monitoring the weather today and if it looks bad, I will not attend. I encourage everyone to stay safe.

So after 2 weeks, the following players have earned the points listed below. Hopefully I have everyone's games recorded. If you forgot to report a game or turn in a sheet, send me a PM and I will make sure to update the scores.

Sorry for the delay in updates (I was out of town last week). Last Friday was the midway point through season 1 of 2015. We have had great attendance so far. This is the 5th week and on Saturday, the Whose Turn Is It Games store championship is scheduled for 1pm. Since that overlaps with the usual league play, I will be adding any games played during the store tournament as games played for the league!

We're through week 6, with 2 more weeks left, and we have had a total of 31 unique players attend an event on either Friday or Saturday. I have included the points from playing at the WTIIG tournament on 1/31 in these results since that tournament overlapped the normal league play. Note that I counted modified match wins as a win for both players (only happened once) as that seemed like the only fair thing to do.
