Let's say you are running a Vic SD (for the sake of the question, pretend that's the whole list for now). It has a squadron value of 3.
1. Does this mean you can only bring 3 squadrons?
2. If it means you can bring more than 3 squadrons, pretend you bring 4 and reveal a squadron command. What happens now? If the other 3 are all affected, what happens to the 4th squadron?
3. Does every squadron get an action/movement during the squadron phase regardless of receiving a squadron command? i.e., You can bring more squadrons than your 'squadron command' but the excess squadrons are less effective somehow. Meaning you could bring a Vic SD (squadron command of 3) and 5 squadrons. OR: Put another way, what happens when you lose some capital ships and have less squadron command capacity than remaining squadrons?
These questions basically revolve around the question of whether or not you can bring more squadrons than you have 'squadron command' to account for and, if possible, why would you?. If you can, is it that A) the excess ships loiter until a command is given (effectively hanging out in space as dead points unless the battle literally moves into them) or B) they are actually still active players but less effective without the benefit of a squadron command?
