When I first heard about Star Wars Armada one of the first battles I thought of was when I was reading about how X-Wings and Y-Wings would raid Empire merchant convoys. I hope Armada is a flexable enough system that we will see squadron commanding officers so we can try our hand at this style of raiding

There are Galleons and the larger Imperial Star Galleons in Rebellion that fill the same role as medium and bulk transports do in the Rebellion. They are a possibility.
I think it would be pretty simple to homebrew some squadron stuff as well if raider scenarios aren't developed by FFG.
This sounds fun. I'd be cool seeing Imperial attacks on Rebel supply convoys as well (see the Ison Corridor Ambush for a good example). Here's hoping for transports in Wave 2! :3
