Looking forward to seeing where my group goes next

By Raistlinrox, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

My group is about to hopefully today finish up Beyond the Rim. Not sure where they are going to go next, though.

One owes a favor to Bargos the Hutt, so I will throw a hook out there to get them into the adventure from the EotE Core book.

We have a Bothan thief, so Jewel of Yavin might be to HIS liking.

And we have an undercover Rebel, so starting them off with the module from the AoR beginner box and going from there to Operation: Shadowpoint, then the AoRCRB module, the AoR GM kit module and into Onslaught at Arda I might be that guy's vote (especially since they say they need a base of operations). Would that be the proper order to run those in, or does it really matter? Anyone have experience with the whole of the AoR modules?

Or they might strike out on something of their own doing, as they have done before.

I'm just looking forward to see where they go next, it's a super-fun group and they've got some cool tension between some PCs.

(Also gonna post this to the AoR forums, since it includes that line also)

Good to hear you're having fun, RR.

I'm lucky enough to play with some long-time role-players, and they're very keen to drive the plots and make choices for themselves. I mostly throw out a bunch of ideas and they run with it.

I actually think this game facilitates that 'sandboxy' way of playing more than WEG version did. I enjoyed that, but the play was very linear, mostly just 'you are all rebel operatives, do this mission!'.

If I were you, I'd have a bunch of things lined up, discuss where they want to go, and prepare the adventures from there.

Some players like to have a linear path to follow, and in some ways, AoR does that better if you want to have a simple mission-based game. But it sounds like your players are enjoying having the freedom to do what they like. A few of the AOR premade adventures offer a base of operations, if that's what they are looking for.
