While browzing for information on the sundered heart, I saw an illustration of part of a corvette. This one had 2 rows of escape pods, under what looked like expended "wings".

I was thinking about placing 2 x-wings under the corvettes "wings" replacing the escape pod rows. Turning it into a gozanti impersonator. Replacing the standard "wings" with the elongated version would look better and allow for a better fit.

Having an engine cluster like the sundered heart would be awesome, although I would redesign the curved parts to be thinner and look like heat ratiators for the engines. Also extend the engine cones to look more menacing.

Also more turret options instead of single turbo lasers would be great.

I would use plasticard and make your own, or buy toys and use parts off them.

I've been thinking for a little while about picking up an old Kenner corvette and enlarging the bridge area to create the Night Caller.

You can look for it on google or whatever your fave browser.. there was art for a 'carrier' version that had a flight deck in the side of it. It had a rail system that slung X wings underneath it.. not remembering what it was called.. but it's a cool idea.

This is the Sundered Heart that someone on the forums made. I want a similar modification to my CR90, but to be scaled down a tad, and to be much thinner and not cartoonishly blocky.

The Sundered Heart was introduced into one of my first star wars games ever played, the "EMPIRE at WAR" game as a hero unit.

I already saw that one and wasn't impressed. I was thinking about external racks that hold x-wings to the hull of the corvette, takeing up the area where the escape pods used to be. They are exposed to vacuum, and a tube sits over the canopy allowing the pilot to be stationed in the corvette and get into his fighter.

Anyways, abandoning this thread and moving it to the scrachbuild and painting sub-forums, where I drew a very rough mockup with this brand new sketch pad i bough just for this project (and maybe some other things after this).

I will try to refine my skills on this sketch pad and give some other views on my creation.

wonder if somebody from "shape ways" could make a "sunderd heart" add on kit that fits the FFG CR-90? hint hint... or perhaps FFG could do it with additional crew cards tossed in..

I really like that carrier version. One day when I'm in my dotage I'll get the plasticard and do one up. Right now I'm hoping to find a modification kit to build the CR-90 from Rebels.

Most of those are outfitted with bigger guns. I would look at old WW2 tank and aircraft model kits for bits to use.

If you mean the carrier, that was a Pelta -class frigate which is a different ship entirely. At 282.24 meters it is much bigger than a CR-90.

Not the Pelta, but I do like it. Just the gun bits for the corvettes in the season one finale. If rather just buy a sprue of the required parts if ever possible
