I think he did rule, continue to rule, equestria in one universe. We see him chasing luna and ceslstia while riding a unicycle. I thought nightmare moons army was the coolest looking of the armies, although the wonderbolts in the first alternate universe looked pretty cool. Rainbow dash also lost a wing somehow.
I had hopes that twilight was going to lure nightmare moon back into time with her, as a distraction for starlight glimmer. Speaking of starlight glimmer, i have a feeling she is a relative of star swirl. That being said in the books he knew more spells than celestia or luna, when they first met, but he wasn't more powerful than them. It would take 12 wizards just to move the sun and moon. Also doing so would take away their power till eventually they would be nothing but a super weak earth pony with a horn on their head.
Why starlight is so powerful is question a cant wait for them to answer.
I think nightmare moon wasnt around in some of those universes because sun shimmer must have come back to celestia to amend their relationship and continue her studies as the princess of friendship, although she wouldnt have known she would become a princess... or would she don don doooonn.

I like the mlp ones, especially when the actual actors are reacting with the fans while watching the episode. I ff7 is probably the best rpg, i thought it was weird that the ff7 or jrpg community had was calling out people on how authentic their reaction was to the announcement of the ff7 remake.

The new book that came out is called "The Princess Collection Princess Luna and the Festival of the Winter Moon."
I give this book a 9.9 out 10
Its really really good except at one point which ill 2rite about later. This story takes place between the episode when Luna fights the tantabus and when the crusaders get their cutie marks. Apple Bloom and the rest of the crusaders have been trying to legally create a festival that truely honors Princess Luna, and since Celestia gets a celebration during the summer, they feel Luna and her moon should have a celebration during the winter, everypony loves their idea except one pony...
Princess Luna
The story is about how Luna is doing after 5he events in which a dream demon she created almost broke through in the real world from the dream realm. She has mostly forgiven herself but she still has a few problems. She however doesn't feel she deserves to have a celebration and so she may or may not try to sabotage everyones efforts to honor her.
I love this story because we get to see more of Luna and since the story is more from her perspective rather than having an episode about her, we get a glimpse at goes on in her head. Luna has some things in common with pinky pie to say the least, lol, if you have red the "The Journal of the Two Sisters" youll know what im talking about." I like this story because you get to see her character grow, she still needs to heal but she is getting better. Her interactions with other characters are entertaining as well.
I dontbwant to say tomuch more because i will spoil the book. That being said ibwill make a list of awesome things to note that may spoil plot points.
I also think the cover is fantastic. Its got a nice picture of Luna in a festive winter environment. The cover is mostly purple with a metalic purple crown and metallic purple stars randomly placed on the cover.

*The Demon Nightmare Moon is still haunting Luna. Like right out of a scene from star wars the force unleashed when galen is grabed by the sith assassin version of him during a vision, shes says to Luna "You cant escape me! I will always be part of you!
*Luna attacks Nightmare Moon with a water wave spell
*Lunas favorite holiday is Heart's Warming Eve. She loves how the light of her moon glistens on the white snow. She also likes all the pleasant dreams ponies have this time of year. As a side note her liking winter maybe be a shout out to the story Snow Drop in which Luna becaomes best friends with a pony that creates the first snow flake.
*Luna loves the holly wreath Celestia makes for her and hangs on the door of her bed room. Celestia has been doing this for Luna for hundreds of years.
*Luna being a dream mancer, and the only pony that can do it, refrence "The Princess Collection Princess Celestia and the summer of royal waves". She is shown being able to bring things out of the dream realm and she keeps them in the real world.
*Luna has a log that appears 5o be linked to both the real world and dream world.
*Luna is a sneaky ninja, red the book youll see what i mean.
*the cutie mark crusaders with the help of rarity and applejack, sorta, have the winter moon festival planned to have lots of beautiful moon and celestial themed decerations clothing, for the guests, and tasty foods including moon pie. Celestia approves.
*Luna is not fond of admiration in the degree she used to before becoming nigh5mare moon. She also has felt uneasy around others, possibly her whole life, she seeks solace in the places other ponies do not dare go.
*When Luna was real young and a Princess she was the first to discover the mountain dragon colonies. She stopped a conflict between the Mountain Dragons and the Bat Ponies of the Western Caves.
** It was the first time Luna felt useful as a Princess.
*Lunas royal dutys are to raise and lower the moon, watch after the dream realm, and to watch after ALL the creatures of Equestria.
**Most creatures dont like winter, so she has to deal with them having scuffles over territory, creatures like cragadiles and cockatrice and everything in between.
*Luna has a mgical artifact known as a Royal Dream Register.
*Luna also has a magical artifact that Star Swirl the Bearded helped her create, probably when he was training her how to use magic. Its a three dimensional map of the kingdom and it alerts her when there disturbances in equestria. Shes the PUNISHER!!!! XD or Batman... :/
*Lunas two personal guards are named Echo and Nocturn, maybe also Castor and Pollux. To honor her forvsaving their families from Dragons tbey became her guards.
**Bat Ponies have a hard time seeing in day time.
**Ether theybwere frozen in time when Luna was banished too 5he moon or Bat Ponies age much much slower than other creatures, or not at all, since Luna knew Castor and Pollux before her banishment 1000+ years ago.
*Dont piss Luna off when she says too you, "IT IS WE, PRINCESS LUNA OF EQUESTRIA, GUARDIAN OF CREATURES SUCH AS THYSELV3S! WE COOMAND YE TO STAND DOWN!"
*Luna is the only one that can instantly understand any language of any creature, Princess Celestia thinks this is linked to her Dreammance abilities only she possess as well.
*Princess Luna can hear what others are dreaming by waliking by them in the streat. She calls it "Dream senses".
*Luna loves apples, better than bananas i guess.
*Luna agitated that celestia had aggread to have the winter moon festival happen against Lunas wishes, as a surprize party as well, Luna decided to out troll her sister. Going into the minds of the main 6 and the crusaders while they slept, she gave the directions on how to improve their contributions to the winter moon festival.
**Luna had Rarity make all the festival dresses and tuxedos be super itchy robes with hoods instead.
**Luna had Applejack make banana peal pudding instead of all the deserts shevwas planing to make. Oh and spicy rainbow juice, which apparently is worse than caster oil.
**Luna made Pinkie stop making all the beautiful decerations she had been work8ng on and make "invisible" decerations.
**Luna had Rainbow Dash making snow oozes... instead of snow ponies for deceration.
**Luna had Fluttershy find the ugliest giant bugs she could find to bring to the event instead of the animals she planned to bring.
**Luna, i believe, made the crusaders bring giant bulbs of garlic for the attendance to put around their necks. Oh and the brought giant weird looking glasses that were supposed to be night vision goggles for the crowed to use. They werent real though, she it just makes it harder to see at night.
**BEST OF ALL, Luna knowing how boring Twilight Sparkle can be when teaching people, she made Twilight bring a giant stack of information and charts about the moon to teach to the crowd at the festival.
*Everytime Luna lowers the moon she says this. "Gratias lunam et stellas" "Thank you, my dear moon and briliant stars for another peaceful night."
*The main 6 realize Luna had been has manipulating their actions but goes along with what they were do8ng because they believe shes diffrent and so she must like the things she suggest3d more than what they had planned to do.
*Luna has one or two pet Snowy Owls. Most important of all she has a pet opossum named TIBERIUS. If this sounds familiar it should, that is her pet opossum from My Littile Pony Pony Tales vol 2.

*Luna feeling guilty for what she has done to the guests trying to make beautiful cel3bration for her, transformes all the colths and decerations and food into what the orignally be planned to be, with Celestia help. She feels its their celebration as well and they deserve to have a fun one especially after trying to make it nice for her.
**Luna and Celestia change all the giant ugly bugs into giant fireflies.
*What Luna never saw comming was members of the mountain dragons, mainticores, and i believe bat ponies, coming to her celebration to honor her, which shebloved very much.
WHAT I DIDNT LIKE SPOILERS------------------------------------------------
Only one thing that I didnt like about this story, while Luna was spying on the main 6 and crusaders she made up a reason for why she was in ponyville. It was because she was hunting a Tarax Hippo. Its a giant ghost hippo that terrifies people. Just a note Twilight thought at first Luna was back to deal with the Bugbear from the 100th episode. Apparently it got away after that episode but Fluttershy finally got rid of it.
Anyway this creature, which Luna explains to herself hasnt been seen in hundreds of years, later comes back near the end of the story. It comes out of its ghostly hibernation because of all the garlic the attendance is wearing because of Luna. She feels a bit guilty about being the cause of it coming back.
I feel like this part of the story is ok but unneeded. We didnt need another fight near the end of the story. Its intresting though, they show alicorn magic can grab spectral entities, the problem though is once they let go it can attack them. I have a theory they didnt just destroy or banish the creature / ghost because it isnt evil, its just a undead annoying animal.
Anyway i do recommend 5his book for anyone that likes mlp, its also got lots of activities in the back some would be interested in like a dream journal, dot to dot pictures, custom make your own pony pictures, a part surprise planner for family and friends, Star drawing activities for friends to use, a maze, wi ter princess luna war.up drawing picture, a crossword puzzle as well as activity for picki g treats you would bring to a winter festival and your plans for nightmare night.

It has a lot of what I look for in a bit of light-hearted entertainment: Good humor, clean, funny dialogue, genuine and three-dimensional characters, and a rich universe.
I actually remember why I started to like it, and it's all Captain Lackwit's fault... he and I actually go way back on DeviantART, where I posted a lot of my stuff. One of the paintings I did was the Incredible Cross-Sections Moldy Crow that makes the rounds on the internet every so often and gets some people to go crazy over a "new EU-themed ICS book". Well, he loves Dark Forces (what, you couldn't tell?) and loved my work, and that got us talking about the Moldy Crow, Star Wars in general, and then he got around to asking me to look at his pony art, which wasn't all that bad. I gave him an honest critique of it, and then he started to talk to me about MLP and asking me what my favorite character was.
I... had no idea how to respond, but I had come across the TV Tropes page on it and so I knew some of the character names and vaguely what they were like. I said, "probably Rainbow Dash". But that got me thinking... what is this character really like? I know, weird question. it's obviously a little girl's show character, so probably not too much to her personality. I still wanted to know, though. So I looked up some clips from the show with her in them, and I found myself chuckling at some of the jokes, and then laughing at the others. They hit the right notes for me.
And then I started to look at more clips. I found myself really attracted to the art style of the show. Not the pretty pinks and pastels... I was interested in the design of the world, more than anything. it seemed to take a lot out of mythology. And I have to admit, I'm a complete sucker for cute things, and the ponies are adorable characters. So I couldn't help but continue to look at clips in my spare time.
Eventually I was looking around and just randomly typed "Okie dokie lokie compilation" because I wanted to know how many times Pinkie Pie said her "catchphrase" (it's not, but it sounded like it was). And I came across a compilation video from Party of One where she was acting a bit creepy, which caught me off guard and made me laugh. I commented, "This pony looks completely crazy!" And then someone replied, "You should see her in the rest of the episode... she gets even worse!"
Okay, this was a shock: how could she get worse than that? So I asked what the episode was, then while I waited for a reply I thought it would be fun to see if any other ponies were as nuts as this. So I looked up "Twilight going crazy" and ended up with a 10 minute "clip" of a show. I was aware that cartoon episodes are typically 11-22 minutes long depending on what show you're talking about, and it surprised me that the clip was half the episode!
Well, it turned out to be more of a condensed version of the episode "Lesson Zero". I watched the clip and LMAO at Twilight Sparkle's descent into madness. It was very well written and remains to this day one of the fandom's favorite episodes. I had to watch it! So I looked it up, and the whole thing was up on YouTube, so I watched it from start to finish. And it was really good! I was pretty surprised that the rest of the episode was just as good as "the good parts". So by then I had heard back from the other guy, who had said the episode in question was "Party of One". I looked up that one and again LMAO at the hilarious writing. I thought, "okay, that's it. I need to watch this thing from beginning to end and see if the rest is as good." I ended up binge-watching the first two seasons over the course of a week, then I watched them all again.
I was hooked from then on. And pretty soon after that, I made my first few pony drawings:

As Twilight said in ep1: "Everypony in this town is CRAZY!" How right she turned out to be. I think that's why I like this show. None of them are perfect. Still nothing can prepare you for the first time fluttershy goes all wicked witch of Oz: "I'll catch you yet, my pretties." followed by the even more psycho: "You are going to LOVE ME!" That was genually upsetting. Flutters is awesome. She's also (well her gag dub anyway) what got me to watch the show in the first place.

Heh, there are a number of things I loved about the first and second seasons that got me to stay:
The songs, which are so fun and catchy, and in a couple of cases award-winning.
The blackboard in the episode "It's About Time" with actual relativistic equations on it.
The Big Lebowski ponies

The Star Wars award ceremony
The changeling invasion
The sleepover and how adorkable Twilight behaves during it

Y'know, Rainbow Dash started as my favorite pony, but Twilight has since risen to the top in my estimation. She's smart, cute, kind, and will go out of her way to make sure you're happy.
