Has anyone found any sites out there or podcasts discussing the game in detail yet? Has a Google Plus page been made yet for it?
Discussions of the game online
Not yet - it just came out. I mentioned it at RPGnet the other day, and most folks hadn't heard of it.
Both retailers I spoke to (who run top tier stores) had never heard of it prior to "just now". Likewise, FFG seems to have missed hyping it really in favor of Star Wars and such.
I did see some banners showing up at RPGnet (advertising).
This game seems to really have flown under the radar. Hardly anyone out there knows it exists.
We all do... Plus it came out a week ago, in fact that is discounting everywhere outside the USA since here in The Netherlands it is nowhere to be found yet (believe me I tried all the shops.) Give it some time!
Got my copy yesterday (in Belgium) but thats mainly because i got my local gamestore to order it as soon as it was anounced.(Anounced, as in "FFG is working on a zombie apocalypse rpg" not as in "zomie apocalypse will be availabe soon")
FF really should have hyped it up more and gone for a halloween release rather than bringing it out over x-mass. (seriously: why xmass?)
But yeah, give it some time, it's only just out.
There is a fairly detailed Youtube "overview" of the game at:

* EDIT - replaced the reference to "review" with "overview".

Now granted he might have some insight and I will watch the video but I am not holding my breath.....

Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed watching this. But, yeah, it's not a review but more of an intro to the rules and mechanics, so that was good.
I would call it a overview. The 5min to 20 min mark is char creation. Watched the whole thing more or less and he does a good job, I plan to watch it again when i am admittedly paying closer attention as the first play through was more background noise while i was doing the less noisy part of my renos. I don't know if everything he says is correct as i don't have my book yet (should be mon or tues this week). One thing that i really didn't think of was that it's more tailored to one off sessions then a long continuous campaign. I plan to do my best to not run it as a one off but i guess I'll just have to see what the players do.
Is there rules about character progression and making your characters better or do you just wing it and say for example a pc is practicing with a gun and now its a positive trait or whatever is called?
