Imperial, because fell in love with tie swarm, and moved onto the 4 shuttles with ion cannons.

I primarily play Imperials while my son plays Rebels, however I started out with Rebels and loved Xs!

I am looking forward to Scum but may find myself wrestling my son to play them!

Imperials, partly because I like Interceptors and Defenders, and partly because absolutely everyone I know prefer Rebels. I'll play anything though, except mirror matches.

I'm still a rookie but started out with rebels due to them having the ships that gave me that Star Wars feeling - X-Wings, the Falcon, the HWK (Dark Forces was a childhood-defining game).

However, I recently played a mini TIE swarm with a couple of Interceptors and loved it - the sheer joy of barrel rolling out of firing arcs and then having my TIEs converge on the kill zone from different angles; flawlessly pulling off a range of manoeuvres around asteroids and racking up kills was a great feeling, so I may be inclined to switch if I can become more profficient.

That, and the Decimator looks great.

Rebels only for the moment. Never liked the empire. Once scum is out I'll probably play some of them as well.

Scum. Ever since the game was released I played nothing but scum.

I don't get it.

Both Rebels and Empire, to learn the playstyles of both sides.

Primarily Empire, but on occasion I will play the rebels, and will find some time to play S&V as well, I'm liking the firespray options there.

I have always liked the TIE fighters and adcanced, then the bombers stole my heart, as I dig that twin hull look on them.. and.. Bombs... hehehe....

I think all the factions can be fun, and I build lists for all of them. I need to print some proxy cards to use until the Raider hits the shelves, I wanna test out the advanced upgrades and try to find a list that keeps it viable for a tourney.. maybe only locally, but that will work for me.. lol

Maybe a bomber advanced list... hmmmmm.. lol

all three equally as soon as S&V is released. I supply all the ships for my group.

Nothing yet,

Because I want to start with Edge of the Empire and any useful supplements.

Then,

Scum and Villainy, because I like their ships more than Rebels, some which I hope to be released in future expansions.

Empire, because I like their ships more than Rebels, and the new Raider will see lots of action in the Outer Rim.

Rebels might sneak in a little with the CR-90, YT-2400 and YT-1300. Just because I like them.

Um... Edge of the Empire has nothing to do with the X wing miniatures game...

I swing both ways currently. We'll see once Scum comes out.

Rebels. I initially wanted to play empire but so did everyone else, so I ended up playing rebels more often and it stuck. I've only ever flown rebels competitively. My competitive record in 2014 is something like 23 wins and 10 losses so they've served me well.

Time to move on though. The 2015 tournament season will be my year of the empire.

I'm so new to FFG I've yet to get anything. I'll be getting EotE first, then miniatures (X-Wing, Armada and Imperial Assault), then Force and Destiny.

The RPG is fun and all, but has nothing to do with the OPs question..

This is about what faction/side you want to play in this game... your RPG ideas aren't really relevant.. <shrugs>

I prefer imperials, but am not excluding rebels or scum. I usually make one list for both current factions and choose the opposite faction just because I feel weird about mirror matches outside tournaments.

I play Imperial because I like being on the side of order in a chaotic Universe. I will also be playing independent freelancers who practice unique and riveting forms of Robin Hood Economics when they are available.

This basically, I will probably play a bit of Scum, once the Star Vipers are out, (and the New Firesprays) I tried a couple Rebel Builds but I just like Imperials better.

I'm a firm believer in an oppressive government and quenching the cry of liberty and freedom.

Plus I like that imperial ships are harder to play and more satisfying.

I'll play anything. Hell, I played lists with multiple generic TIE Advanced before it was cool . I own 6 HWK-290, and have run multiple Rebel Operatives in a single game.

I play both Imps and Rebels, but have no plans as of yet to play scum. I slightly prefer rebels over Imps due to the synergies that are so common in rebel lists.
