I'm sure we can all agree that the X-Wing card art is awesome! I believe the SW RPG game also sports some sweet pics.
Does anyone know of a resource where we can view the full images from FFG's range of SW products?

Google "star wars card art" and you'll find a bunch of them.
Download the X-Wing Companion app. It has images of all the cards.
Searched the Google device, scoured deviantart and hunted down artist names and websites. Not a lot of hits though.
The app idea is good but often the card art is just a portion of the actual image.
I was just hoping there was a resource in which the full art could be appreciated. I would buy an "FFG's Art of Star Wars" book if it was available.
Am I alone here? When admiring some of the art I get excited thinking about these epic space battles with our favourite warriors battling desperately against seemingly insurmountable odds. It's one of the many things that attracted me to the game.
Any particular one you're after?
Since you asked you might be interested in checking my devianart >> http://wraithdt.deviantart.com/
Magali Villeneuve does alot of SW art for FFG as well. You can check her stuff out here >> http://magali-villeneuve.blogspot.fr/
Sorry for the shameless self-promotion:P
I think a list of artists that have worked on FFG illustrations would be a fantastic resource for fans.
I would buy it as a coffee table book
Btw WraithDt - She's Had Enough! Is one of my all-time favorite star wars pieces. You are a wizard.

I just downloaded it. That's a cool little app. ![]()
I've been collecting jpgs and pngs of great art created or used for X-Wing for a year now. I would check for the deviantarts or personal websites of the following artists (including, of course, the great wraithdt
:
Anthony Devine
Anthony Foti
Ben Zweifel
Emile Denis
Jake Murray
Mariusz Gandzel
Mark Molnar
Pinkhavok
wraithdt (Darren Tan)
Zach Graves
Those are the ones I was able to find with signficant sections of their art sites devoted to FFG card/book art.

Can I ask, as an artist, does FFG commission you to create an image? Or, do you submit them to FFG in the hope they select them for their artwork?
Without giving specific details, do they pay for the use of the image or do they buy the rights for the image and make it their own? I'm making the assumption you get paid ... I could be wrong. Maybe you do it for love, recognition, resumè/CV .. I just don't know and I'm very curious how the process works.
Edited by ConandoodleI get paid for every artwork they hire me to do. That's the service I offer and I don't own any of the copyrights to my SW artwork, so no royalties or what not. I'm willing to bet that's how it is for any work you do for a major franchise like Star Wars. I'm just glad to be a part of it.
As for the artwork itself, yes, they commission me for the image and then I create it for them.
Edited by WraithdtDid you have to do your own promotion, or was it more of a headhunter scenario?
I also want to chime in with how much I love you work. I've told Jake Murray and Pinkhavoc this, but it's good art that inspires in a tabletop game like this, at least for me. Back when I was little and playing the old West End Games RPG, I always turned through the books and stared at the wonderful illustrations in them. A lot were movie stills and concept art, but there were a lot of original works, especially for the sourcebooks. I spent so much time fueling my imagination with them, and I have no doubt that you and all the other artists working on these illustrations are inspiring a whole new generation of fans with your work. ![]()

Thank you. I have zero artistic ability so don't worry about me using this new found knowledge to try and take some business from you. Even my stick figures have identity crisis'.
So realistically, there is nothing big in the way of FFG releasing a book loaded with SW art from their various products and little bios of the artists?
I would be very interested in this product.

Artwork in games is big part of what inspires me too:)
I got in contact with FFG years before when I was working for a concept art/illustration studio. I think they may have contacted the studio I'm not sure, but as an employee I was assigned FFG work. Back then there was no Star Wars as they didn't have the rights to it but I did work on their other properties. When they got the rights and they realized I have a thing for Star Wars that's when it all came flooding in. Right now I'm on my own and FFG is one of my favourite clients. Great people to work with:)
@Conandoodle - I'm not worried:) I'm told the FFG as more than enough work to go around so they're always on the lookout for new artists. You just need a good portfolio.
As for a FFG SW Artbook I'm really not sure if that can happen. To my knowledge Del Rey has the SW book market cornered but if FFG can find a way they should totally do it!
