Straying off Target

By HappyDaze, in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion RPG

Just a few possible errors I found in Stay on Target . I'll be forwarding these for official answers.

Page 59: The TIE Hunter description says it has four linked medium laser cannons, but the stat line only has Linked 1 (indicating two linked laser cannons) rather than Linked 3. Which is correct, the description or the stat line?

Page 60: The TIE Phantom description says it has five linked light laser cannons, but the stat line says medium laser cannons (and has Damage 6, which is appropriate for medium laser cannons). Which is correct, the description or the stat line?

Possible typo on page 21, fourth paragraph, third sentence. It says:

The religion is ancient, and though only a small percentage are devote , most every Chadra-Fan is aware of it.

Given the context, the word should probably be "devout."

I have nothing to do with FFG beyond playing their games but I believe that two is what they had according to Rebel Strike, aka the video game they first appeared in. Unfortuantely I don't have a gamecube any more so I can't check.

Officially the TIE Hunter should have twin lasers, twin Ions (I think the lasers are TIE-ball chin mounts, with the ions being in the center where the s-foils meet) and twin proton launchers. So should be the description that's wrong there.

Phantom I'm not entirely sure. I THINK the hull pair was mediums with lights at the wingtips, but all five were linked to fire all-together.

The hunter in Onslaught of Arda 1 in it's stat line has it as forward mounted medium laser cannons and linked 1 only so I think if it's showed up twice you can assume it's linked 1 but if anyone official corrects that so be it, also the ion cannons in that as well are turret mounted with all firing arcs which I find a bit odd but anyway hope that helps.

Not sure if it was devoted followers or devout, and slipped through or got screwed up during one of my editing passes, or one of the later editing passes, but yes, just a typo.

When I was reviewing my own submission a little over a week ago, I realize that I had messed up some of the symbols in the charts that I did for spending advantage/triumph/threat/despair. I'm trusting those got fixed in the copyediting pass. So far nobody's said anything that there's a boost or a setback dice indicator in the wrong spot.

Writers do make mistakes after all :) We can't rely on spell checks to catch stuff.

OK, here's another:

Page 56: The R-60 "T-wing" Interceptor is listed as having proton torpedo launchers, but the game stat line is that of concussion missile launchers (Damage 6; Critical 3; Blast 4, Breach 4, Guided 3). Should this fighter have proton torpedoes (requiring a change to the game stat line) or should it mount concussion missile launchers (with the given stat line)?

Every source I know of for the T-Wing has Proton Torpedoes, with the increased firepower being its main advantage over the A-Wing and given that its listed as having them I would say the torpedoes. No clue what the official word would be though.

Of course. We're human and mistakes happen. I can't speak for others, but I just want to point it out so it can be fixed in subsequent printings. I've really enjoyed the work you guys have been doing.

That's what errata is for. :) as extensively edited as Stay on Target was, there are going to be things that slip through the cracks. Threads like this can help us catch things, but of course the preference is to catch them before they go to press.

For example, the charts for spending advantage/triumph/threat/despair that I drew up for dogfighting terrain, when I went over my notes of what I had submitted, I realized after the fact that I had inadvertently reversed some of the codes for putting in the proper dice symbols. Mercifully, that WAS caught in editing :)

My playtesting time is limited these days, but I'm really good at spotting errors of this sort if you need another set of eyes early in the process.
