Brobots - 2 or more Aggressors
X-Wing Slang Glossary
I have seen stressboat a few times and am not sure what it means.
Any Rebel Y wing but usually a Gold or Gray Squadron with the BTLA4 title, R3-A2 astromech, and a twin laser turret. At range 2-3 it attacks with both primary and secondary weapons but only in firing arc. Targeting triggers R3 twice which gives two stress to the defender and two stress to the stresshog. Other turrets can be used but the blaster turret would be useless once the stress piles up as it needs a focus token to work.
(emphasis mine)
The term "stresshog" predates the Twin Laser Turret, although the TLT's range is making it a popular choice on present-day stresshogs.

At a guess, "stress
boat
" is probably either a mistype/misread of "stress
bot
", which is R3-A2 itself, or a general term for a ship equipped with the stressbot.
Stressboat is decimator equipped with tactician, rebel captive and mara jade

That's a lot of stress!
Didn't find this one in the list:
TAP - Tie Adv. Prototype
Chimp or Guidance Chimp: Guidance chip.
Chimp or Guidance Chimp: Guidance chip.
As a new player the use of Chimp confused the heck outta me.
TLT - Twin Laser Turret
I had to figure that one out too by looking through the wiki.
Sorry I've neglected this for so long, but I did a few updates today. If you see some more terms that I've missed please let me know and I'll update it.
Quite a bit of fringe slang in this post:

Not sure how wide-spread it is yet, but after howlin wolf or the outer rim mule builds take off it'll be good to have this all in one place.
Gunboat - Something people think deserves to happen but likely won't for some time (See Leonardo Di Caprio winning an oscar)

You might want to add EPT.
What does meta mean?
NPE is a new one that I'm not sure what it means, but I've seen it everywhere.
What does meta mean?
Short for "metagame". Loosely, it's the collection of lists that you're likely to find when you play somewhere. The term carries with it the knowledge that how good a card is isn't determined just by the game, but also by the metagame. E.g. Autothrusters would probably not be worth its points without so many powerful turrets in the meta.

Negative Play Experience. Usually used to refer to the effect of particular rules or combos, but can also refer to the experience of playing with a jerk.
This thread needs pinning, the amount of times people ask what the abbreviations mean shows that this should stay on the front page.
Can't believe I forgot to put EPT in there. Did a few more updates. This is one of the posts I kind of wish more people in the community could edit so that everyone doesn't have to wait on me.
Here's a couple more from Wave 8:
JM5K - JumpMaster 5000
TB - Tractor Beam
Edited by hardbapCan we please get this pinned. I didn't know it existed and would have made trying to figure out what the hell a "PWT" was soooo much easier. Great thread!

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. The truly important part is that I still think I'm hilarious.
