I do not see it as stealing... but it is bordering on bad manners to scream that a birthday cake is in the oven before the party has OFFICIALLY started.

Two thoughts:

1) anyone dedicated enough to X-Wing to spend time- daily- checking URLs and hoping for a hit is a superfan. Even if FF is annoyed by this behavior, they have the good sense to not take action against superfans.

2) I bet the FF community management team has a pool going about how long an asset can be on an FF URL before fans notice and link to it. I hope someone won the pool, and is gonna get some good drinks because of it.

3) Someone shows up with a found URL it builds up exitement, more of us are going to see if the preview has arrived. More people reading a preview leads to more people seeing an expansion they want. Sending out well hidden easter eggs for a superfan might actually by a good marketing strategy

The problem with "unofficial" spoilers is that there is potential for errors. If you don't want to find them don't look at them. It isn't like the superbowl score which is posted on every news page and social media site the minuet it is finished. I find it hard to find leaked images. If you do want to post images you may be at risk of terms of service and other repercussions depending on the source. If you see them you there is nothing wrong with taking a look as you are not the one spreading the images, but don't take anything as fact.

I think they put it up because we're getting a Scyk preview in the next 24 hours, and they needed the art assets on the server when the post goes live to ensure the article works.
