Yeah I'm pretty excited that it looks like it's her, I enjoyed Force Unleashed well enough and I think she stands to be an excellent addition to the Imperial forces.
That said, I think FFG is wising up to our obsessiveness, because I'm pretty sure they've reduced the resolution of the Raider product shot. I can't even begin to make out what her pilot ability is!

Half the ships and most pilots aren't canon in the game.

Actually, the Raider spread is more readable than the Transport spread was (Tantive being less relevant due to not needing space for extra cards). It's just that the Raider layout has a multi-line spread for the pilot cards, and the lower row is cleverly placed. The pilot cards are actually 5-6px larger in the Raider preview, and of similar sharpness.
Also, the Transport has dial-sized tokens with the same art as the set that come with the Raider, except the Raider's version has a more complex set of stats on the token. I don't have my transport scenarios on hand, but I'll bet they tell us what that art is.
Eh. Juno Elipse may still be an awesome pilot who Darth Vader handpicked to lead Black 8, etc. But with a different story filling in the exact details.
The EU becoming Legends just means we don't know the exact story. That's kind of exciting.

Also this could easily fix her not being a TIE/x1 pilot, or Black Eight's composition.
But why is Juno higher ps than Maarek? Why is anyone besides Vader and maybe Fel higher ps than Maarek?
Videogame protags occupy a wierd place in that they're only as good as a given player. Note Keyan, Dash, etc.
NPCs on the other hand can be as good as they were written to be.

No, see the listed examples. FFG seem to have decided that game protags are median or slightly above, depending on whether they were primarily pilots or not (Jan vs Kyle).

Hm true. Keyan, Dash, and Maarek are all 7. Kyle is a fps player character, not so much a pilot character, especially considering he had Jan to fly for him.

Simple. FFG doesn't care about canonicity. They will use whatever ships or characters they want from the Star War Universe whether its canon or Legends.
Besides the EU is not discarded in a sense that its not considered at all, rather it is just not considered as the true "historical" version of SW lore but it is still treated as a valuable resource from which to draw ideas from.

I'm still not fully convinced, the PS 5 is from Storm Squadron so to me it would make sense if the other pilots are as well.

That would only be true if LEGENDS became 2ndary type B canon. It was confirmed later to be type A atleast, canon till shown otherwise, and at most canon but with some detail noncanon. One writter said they will write more stories with or about Thrawn I assume since this writter wrote him, and counter anything that could damage those stories.
The only thing to worry about is late post ROTJ stuff. there galaxy is huge it would be ard to retcon darktimes eu as well as eu during the Civil War. Like the writters would have to have scenes like with characters looking for say "Baron Fel" ansd they find out even at the genetic level he never existed.

What is type a and b canon?
There's movies + clone wars + rebels + books since this year (new dawn and tarkin so far)... And that's it.
Nothing else is even assumed to be canon.
In fact, the only things currently producing star wars lore of any type that isn't canon is the Old Republic MMO and probably FFG star wars games, and even then, I think the only thing FFG has added to the star wars universe is the Imperial Raider.
