Going off a 'confession' in the the unsurprisingly titled 'xwing confessions' thread, one chap stated he'd only played about four games to date (admittedly he's collected since launch)

But i have a sneaky suspicion that that might not be that unusual.

I play about two game a week on average, usually one of them is against my wife, the other someone from my local group of geeky gamer mates.

But i have a feeling that is probably quite a high average.

So proper 'plastic and card' games (rather than vassal) and with an opponent (rather than using an 'ai' or playing yourself)...... how many games on average to you reckon you play a week?

Average about 1.5 weeks. Usually every week but I miss on occasion and then friends are really flaky. Why are people so?

5 or 6 a month, get down to the flgs about every other week and play with one of three other dudes. There's other x wing players in my area, the product moves off the shelf, but they seem to stay secluded

I manage to play about every other week and usually get in 2-3 games on those nights.

Very rarely an opportunity to play at another time will come up.

And, just for the sake of full disclosure, I don't play on vassal at all.

I tried vassal and Mishary was really good at explaining it to me but it was a *lot* of hassal to set up and i've no real shortage of opponents in my town so i didnt really stick at it.

Wednesday night Buddy of mine and I get about 3-4 games in

Thursday night about 2 games in at flgs

Sometimes Friday or Saturday and or Sunday

(buddy has a weird schedule where he gets every second weekend. Off so one week he has Wednesday and Monday off then nextra week Friday and Saturday)

Probably about once a week. Twice if people come to the game store on the other day. Seems like all the other people that play in town are really busy.

Well,this past weekend I had 5 games on Saturday, and one very drunk game at 1am Sunday morning.

That was an exceptional weekend, though.

Hmm beginning to think that my 'two games a week' might be at the lower end of the scale now

I probably only manage about one game a week on average, but considering I spend close to 3 hours a day painting and scratchbuilding (commissions are friggin time consuming) I suppose one game a week is a decent amount.

Maybe one or two sessions a month, with one or two games a session. Real Life prevents playing more often.

3-6 games a week more if the wife's not home

Between working full time, wife and kids, I only play 1 tournament a month. So 3-4 games total. I only use Vassal to practice maneuvering as the games take way too long.

About once or twice a month. Im a stay at home dad and take care of five kids while the miss is off at work. The kids are not old enough or mature enough yet to uderstand the game...and yes I have already tested this with them and they are too distracted with just playing with the ships instead of doing actual gameplay or learning the rules.

So I wait till I do have the free time to go to my Fellow Army vet friend who suffers from PTSD and play a game with him. At our local game shop.It not only lets us play a game we love because we are fanboys but allows him to get out of the house and build up social skills . I have PTSD as well just not as bad as him..we both have a hard time adjusting to the world outside our homes so we are therapy for each other..this game is our therapy. Our game store is how we try to get back in society and be social. So yeah once or twice a month is how much I play this game ....wish it was more but ill take what i can get.

I've been collecting since shortly after release, but I've only really begun playing in the last three months. I primarily play with two other friends who love the game, but don't have their own ships so fortunately I can supply us both. I finally feel confident enough with the game to perhaps start playing 'strangers' at my FLGS, but that's a big social anxiety hurdle for me to ramp. As it is, I usually end up playing once a week now, while also spending time lurking here and doing my own repaints/mods.

An average week 'breakdown' in X-wing games for me would be....

Sundays - Very rare sessions - maybe 1 Sunday session every month containing maybe 2 games a session.

Mondays - Never.

Tuesdays - Maybe every 2nd Tuesday night - average 2 games per session.

Wednesdays - Gaming night at LGS - Average 3 - 4 games per session.

Thursdays - Never.

Fridays - Gaming Night at LGS - Fairly random - 'If' another x-winger shows up. Would 'average' it out at 2 games per session.

Saturdays - Anything goes @ LGS day - Average 4 games per session.

Hmm... seems Monthly I'm averaging 46 - 50 games per months. Sounds about right actually.

Typically 2 or 3 games every Tuesday night (X-Wing night at my LGS) and usually another game or two at home during the week. So 4-6 on average each week. Maybe a Saturday tournament every other month or so as well.

We try to play every Friday night and usually get 4 games in, 5 if we are speedy. However the only tournament that I've been able to fit in was Gen Con 2014. That's my New Year's resolution - more store tournaments, Gen Con 2015 and hopefully Worlds. :-)

It seems to go im streaks here, so if we were to average them out, I'd say one game a week!

We may get in three-four games in one session, then not play for two weeks!

During league we were getting 4-6 games per week!
