2 games a week every week, but only thanks to a good flgs with a regular group on the same night otherwise I know the answer would be virtually never.
How much do you actually PLAY xwing, in real life.
Way too few. I still plan to run a huge battle at some point but that will probably be a mess. I can envision a massive clump of ships stuck in the middle of the play area.
I've decided to go back to the beginning and play games based on what was available at the time per Wave. Starting with the starter and Wave 1, then fold in Wave 2 etc.
My average game play is once a week. It should increase now that I have a few converts with orders on the way. YAY!
I do read, strategize and build squads all the time. Does that count as play time?
Edited by FOXX5i play about 8 games a month
In the summer, a couple a week.
In the winter, once a month or so.
I work at a University, so time is stricter in the winter. Further, I live near a beach town so have a very different group of friends during different seasons.
I hope to play at least once or twice every weekend.
Before, rarely. It wasn't until recently that I started playing around once a week with a buddy who's just getting into the game. We get in around 3+ games a week, usually all in the same day. Tonight, for instance, was 3 games. ![]()
I manage 5 games a week during lunch at work.
Then the odd Sunday every few weeks.
I usually play once every 3-4 weeks. My group will play a number of standard games or one large game of 4-6 players each with 100-150pts. Occasionally we dance with epic, but with the Raider looming I expect that will increase as well.
I play about 3-4 games a week on average. This is definitely due to a consistent league group at a great lgs.
3-4 games a week (shout out to Guardian Games in Portland), though lately Store Championships have jumped the numbers per week up by about 5-7 to 8-11 games per week from February to March.
Much less than I would like
I would say once or twice on Tuesday, depending on the availability of my group. We usually also get in three or four games Friday night at a local game store or on our own
Not as much as I'd like obviously!
I play a few games every Monday at the drop in event I help run at the FLGS. I also periodically attend tournaments, though I attempt to schedule this around my time with my daughter.
Since January 2013, I've played a bit over 500 games (combined online and tabletop) of X-Wing (so 26 months, about 20 games a month roughly).
Since I've started tracking the results of our games in our local group (around Spring 2014) through this website we made: 88 games played (mostly tabletop, but a small handful of them are vassal though) since it came online.
I estimate a good 30-50 tabletop games on top of that from the time I tried to find players, introduced it to others, games with my girlfriend and brother, etc.
Of course, the majority of the playtime I get is on vassal, which is why I invested so much time to follow the releases and make it simpler, more pleasant to play. However, I'd say the live play is accelerating, since we now have 3 local stores trying to get our attention with tournament kits (season, store championship, etc) where there was only 1 for the longest time.
I've been accused of "not getting X-Wing in its true form" since I was a vassal player but the facts speak for themselves. Bonus proof: a picture I took this morning of my whole collection:

and accumulated tournament swag (won fair and square, none shown here was bought)

Okay, I want to move to where most of you are...
I get to play every few weeks to every couple of months.
I play every Thursday night at the local store. I usually get 2-3 games in. Of course, family events trump it all. Why does my daughter have to have band concerts on Thursday nights?
During the summer, my wife sometimes takes the kids out of town on a mini vacation. I get to go out on Tuesday nights then, as well.
For a while it was 2+ games per week through league play, plus whatever else on the side. Have only played once in the last 4 weeks or so, but there were a couple tournaments before that (and another one this Saturday). All in all probably around 100 games played since I got in just prior to wave 3, with an 82% win rate among games I've tracked (which is almost all of them, aside from some real oddball stuff like team games or non-standard missions).
I played about 13 matches last week, including a Store Championship, and I'm ready for more.
Usually I get in 1 to 3 matches per week. I'd play a lot more if I wasn't the organizer for our league and local events, in which I participate only if it evens up the number of players.
I play at least once a week (2 to 4 games, depending on how quickly they go and how many people show up). If I also go to a competition that same week then that can be anywhere from 3 to 5 additional games.
In 2014 I played 267 games, no more than 10 of those were on VASSAL. The rest were real-deal tabletop games either casual or tournament. So far in 2015 I'm at 62, no more than 5 of which were VASSAL.
So I play kind of a lot. I'll break 400 games total before the month is up.
That's crazy. I've played 4 actual games, start to finish. Got my first store championship next week (day after quals), and haven't quite figured out how to make Vassal work (thank god, I'd never study). But I've watched at least seven or eight games in person that I haven't participated in, and that's been extremely educational, as has this forum.
I think I've played...7 games this year? Then about 2! 3-4 month dry spells last year. It sucks...I simply never have time anymore, despite being around since Wave 1. My regrets are:
-Never flown Han (though I went against him a couple times)
-Never flown Fat Han and only fought it once
-Didn't get any muscle memory with Phantoms..or anything from wave 4 actually.
-Got an Outrider for X-Mas, but haven't used it.
-Used a Decimator twice
-Played 1 game using S&V Ships
Wow...maybe I should get a different job?
Not enough ![]()
2015, the count is about 6 I think...
Some were two games in a row.
And one Epic, totalling it to 7 ![]()
Not expecting to play soon, just moved to a new house and getting our second kid soon! ![]()
