Every ship is the best at what it does, or that ship shouldn't exist.
What are the things each ship is the best at?
Examples and my own entries:
TIE Bombers are the most survivable ship-class for their cost, are the cheapest bomb-platforms, and set the record for the variety of ordnance the can carry.
X-Wings have the best varieties of Pilot Abilities, and are the most resistant to meta-shifts.

The B-wing is my favorite heavy hitter, especially with the new aces pack. it loves getting up close, and can take a beating.

My take on explaining this:
The B-Wing can be built as the best Knife-Fighter in the game (extended engagements at Range-1 Jousting), and can be built as a very good Sniper as well (Range 3 target-shooting with HLC).

E-Wings: The best at Hit and Runs
Their maneuverability with their attack makes them devastating when they attack and just do a lap around the field before coming in again
Its common for Corran but I assure you that every one of the E-wings can fly that way and be devastating
E-wings are a tricky bunch. Eathn is an auto include basicly for anything over 100 points, and Corran is a boss at being able to remove ships off the board. However, the base e-wings stats scream for a defensive setup, with either r2-f2+stealth device+jammers+lonewolf, or as an active damage tanker, with r2d2/r5p9 + shield upgrade + advanced sensors/ jammer + ptl (combo'ed with r2& advanded sensors) or some other ept.
