Revanchrist... have you tried Ludvico Enaudi. Hes a modern classical composer and brilliant. Check out anything from 'le onde' on youtube you may like it.
Barbers Adagio for strings isnt really classical , its quite modern but i always love that.
I do like mozart though, and Grieg elgar and Holst and all the obvious ones. Im not terribly well educated about classical, baroque and romantic era music but i like most of it.
Rcently i have developed a liking for some fo the psychobilly bands. I suppose it happens when you move to the American south *L* But then i have always liked the whole Spaghetti western type sound. Fields of the Nephilim's cover of Harmonica man from Once upon a time in the west rocks my world.
There is an ebm group i quite like called 'and one'. Normally they are *very* electronic/cyber but they do an 'original mix' of their track 'military fashion show' but its a parody, its not the original they have just done it really rockabilly.

K3, Mega Mindy, Piet Piraat, Wicky the Viking, Samson & Gert, a blue rabbit called Bobo, a bunch dressed up as princesses, and all other stuff Studio 100 came up with.
By now some are stuck in my brain, without knowing I am humming the tunes. To the amusement of those around me

What really makes me cringe is a recent K3-song where they sing to the current queen of The Netherlands what a wonderfull husband she has....

Oo, I have watched the video and listened to many of these songs many times. I got brainswashed by now....
My solution is to give in but try to keep a song that at least makes me a bit happy in my head.

Aaah. On the subject of industrial I completely forgot Laibach who are not perfect but make some of the best covers out there. The song Life is life sounds like music for Imperials to groove to but the original was a terrifyingly bad pop reggae thing.
