Best thing on TV/DVD these days?
Just for the hell of it I also recommend these shows although they are old. Most shows now days dont seem enjoyable to me.
*The Cape
*The adventures of young Indiana jones.
* Visionaries ( Future magic fantasy. Everyone turns into their cutie marks, error, totem animal. Some have magic power wands that give them more abilities if they say the correct words "The arrows turn, the swords rebel, nothing shall pierce this mortal shell." "By natures hand, by craft, by art, What once was one now fly apart!" JFYI that last spell summons a Godzilla sized green greater daemon of Khrone without wings. The others without wands magically power vehicles.
*Captain Power and the soldiers of the future (Think what Power Rangers would be like if the whole thing was serious, no giant robots ether, and they are fighting during the future wars in Terminator. Also biodreads may be the most letal living machines in fiction.
*Robotech Saga (Including RT2, Shadow Rising, Shadow Chronicles)
*Terminator Sarah Conner Chronicles
*M.A.S.K. (Despite how old this is the plot, sound effects, and score hold up very well still. Even the character dynamics between the main antagonist and his minions is diffrent from what you would expect. Most still nowdays are Vader knock offs that kill their minions over littile things) JFYI takes place in the same universe as GI JOE and Transformers. Those two shows howver in my opinion didnt age well. They are not enjoyable like they were when I was littile.) ps thinking about it the onlything I still enjoy from G1TF is stuff with Combaticons... Still doesnt save the series in my eyes.
*The REAL Ghostbusters (JFYI the first season sucks)
*Extreme Ghostbusters ( its part of the real GB series)
*Malcolm in the middle (greatest live action comedy ever!)
*Frasier
*Classic Star Trek. The rest is as moldy as the bluecheese the dwarfs toss out of Bilbo Baggins pantry.
* GUYVER 2005
*Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel (not the rabbit BUT seeing how mean he is he prob can kill Vampires also.)
*X-Files (Last season is weird almost not enjoyable.)
*Millenium (Same universe as X-Files. Akward that the confirm the Devil is real, yet on the X-Files most paranormal issues they find out in the end is aliens / north american trolls.)
I'm watching that now! (Yamato 2199) Awesome animation! It's way better than i was expecting...
It is how a revamp should be. They didnt butcher the ship designs, in fact they might have improved them a bit which is rare (see nuBSG for how not to do ships) And the new Gundam is going to be the same way

Will that be the Char Aznable origin story?
Darts. Women's darts to be precise!
Yes. The first of three movies that will tie in with a new version of the original show
Nah she would be happy to do that. She kicks a dragon big enough to swallow her whole, square in the chin.
The wife and I are watching 'The Wire' again. It's seriously one of the best shows ever.
The best thing to watch *right now* is Al Jazeera.

No kidding.

Well, that or france24.com, or the BBC. though now that the hostage situations have ended it's time for the repeats, speculations and analyses to begin and so time to watch something else for a while.
Though there's a hostage situation in Montpellier right now. It could just be a robbery gone wrong and completely unconnected.

I used to think all the posts about The Wire in 2008 were mere hyperbole. Now, I finally see what they were talking about. I am in season 2, and while I think it slips a bit in plotting, self indulgence, and character depth from season 1, it is still incredibly high quality.
No, the Wire is great, especially after season 2 which to me was also a bit of a let down.

We're also on Season 2 right now. While I agree that it is the least awesome of the seasons (and the Ziggy character is annoying as all ****), I still think it's pretty good. Frank and Nick Sobotka are phenomenally portrayed, IMO.

Oh yeah, I remember that fight
, she got pawneed by that dragon
He was fire ... He was D E A T H.

She's a ranger, she just doesn't know it yet lol
In the middle of season 3 of The Wire, and it took a dramatic swing back to season 1 levels. And I agree that there were good things about 2, it just wasn't as amazing as one.

Great show. If it like it you might also like 'The Shield'.
