Yeah, you could kit-bash 'em, but they'd make great faction mooks.

I'm just getting into the game, and think S&V might be the way to catch up.

There are plenty of more scum ships that they can make before the need to make uglies. Besides, they already have 2 swarmy ships.

S&V already have two filler ships.

After the Scyck and the remade Z-95, what will more swarmy fighters add?

I know a lot of people are totally against them but personally I'd like to see a few Uglies in the game.

I don't see why everyone thinks they'd be swarmy. They may not be great lore-wise, but I could see them in the 20s range.

I sincerely hope they never make uglies for this game. The only thing I like less than the look of the uglies are their names. There are so many more interesting ships they can make.

I don't see it happening, S&V already has two swarmers while the Empire and Rebellion only have one. Wave 7 will probably bring one ships each for the Empire and Rebellion and two for S&V, one of which will be a large base turret ship, my guess would be Dengar's Jumpmaster 5000. That ship will be the first turreted ship with a Salvaged Astromech slot. This will bring all factions up to ten ships (the Scyk and Heavy Scyk counting as two).

There are a few uglies that might be interesting. I've always liked the Deathseed, personally. The real question is: what role needs to be filled in the Scum navy? Once we answer that question, we can figure out a good ship to fill that need.

Well they have Turrets from Y-wings and HWKs, HotShots, and I would count the Firespray's Rear Arc as "close enough", they have bombs, they have Ions, Expensive Arc Dodger (StarViper), Whatever the heck the IG-2000 fits into (Super Dogfighter ala Defender/E-wing maybe?)

Scum also have better "control" options than I'm seeing from the other factions the scum HWKs look _nasty_ from that perspective.

I think if they made an ugly pack and just made a generic pilot worth 8 points was a ps2 (so they wouldnt be perfect blockers and predator would crush them), 1 attack, 1 agility, 1 hull, 1 shield.

I think that could have a place in the game, be unique, not over costed and maybe underpowered even.

I would go PS2 (or 1) 2 attack, 2 agility, 2 hull, and make them unaffected by friendly pilot abilities/EPTs (due to the "unique" nature of the ships) and 10 points

What I think the developers are worried about isn't 9-10 cheap ship basic ships, they are worried about 8 ships with AoE buffs (like Howlrunner and Serisu)

It costs 5 points, but must take at least 2 modifications. This ship my have any number of modifications.

To each his own I guess...its the ugliest starship I have ever seen in any space show ever. No I am not exaggerating...no I am not employing hyperbole. I am deathly serious in my opinion on this. If i want to fly bugs in space Ill go back to 40K and start a tyranid army...at least their lore is worth spending time with. I have never and will never understand society's romanticized views of pirates and piracy.

I have made my opinion clear in numerous other threads on this horrid design. Weather you agree or not is irrelevant to my personal thoughts on the matter. I am glad you think it looks awesome...I disagree...I everyone can find beauty in anything if they want to. Nonetheless I am still going to have to buy one =(...need them autothrusters and my inner completionist demands it. But I dont think I will field it often...the guy in my group who owns no ships and plays with us all the time...he might.
