Anyone beat this box with mainly hobbit themed decks? I've been having a super hard time with the first quest. I haven't even tried the others because I can't beat this one!

I havent personally played any Black Riders quests yet, but when it first came out I heard about a lot of different Hobbit decks that beat the whole box. Sadly, I dont think I can help you any more than that.

I didn't have too much trouble using the fairly obvious theme deck of Sam, Merry, Pippin from TBR box plus the natural supporting cards. If you don't have access to cards from earlier cycles like Fast Hitch and Hobbit Sense this might prove a problem. I found the second quest by far the hardest of the three.
