Raider upgrade card identification

By Blue Seven, in X-Wing

Edit: also, looking again at the product shot, I'm pretty sure the unknown duplicate card in the top row is a new missile. It looks like there should be two rows of text in the name of the card, although all that's visible looks like the M at the start of the second row. If you kind of squint, the text looks the same as the M from the two missiles to the left.

What if it's a black droid crew like R4-K5 or R2-Q5

I mean it looks like it's indoors and something black.

I was thinking the same thing until I realized the one letter we can kind of see is on the second row. It definitely isn't centered, so something's taking up that space. I think it looks more like an M than anything, but it's reeaally hard to make out.

It doesn't look like an M to me that's why I kept looking

until I thought of the droid idea. I keep thinking P3, not M.

They'll probably spoil these last couple in the very next article.

okay I get Captain Needa for the single from the background.

I could be wrong but it's the closest so far.

here's a third thing no one's put up for discussion yet, what if

the duplicate card is a Chardaan Refit type card for the TIE-Advanced.

Oh you're right, they'll definitely be spoiling those the next time the Raider comes around for an article, but I figure the Scyk and Aggressor are due first.

That picture does look like a ship/hangar interior, but I don't know what kind of generic droid or team it could be. Also the letter doesn't look as centered as all the others right next to it, so I still think there's a small bit of hidden text above it.

That does indeed look like the same art. So it's Needa.

Anything "TIE Advanced only" I'd expect four copies, not two.

Those circles in front of the aft hull have

an attack, defense and hull value...

anyone want to take a guess.

My guess would be space mines but probably for missions as I see smaller space mine tokens. I don't see any upgrade that lets you place them in epic.

As cool of a concept that a minelayer ship is, it's incredibly unlikely that FFG would release deployable mines/debris that did not include the maneuver template nubs like bombs already do. Though, man, if the smaller epic ship that Empire (or Scum?) eventually gets is a swift minelaying ship, they would have all my money.

The fore card looks like the cripple side to me, so the size of the gap probably has more to do with there being only one upgrade total.

You could well be right there it does have a certain burny look to it. Plus the dots for the stats.

I noticed a new thread and someone was asking about the stats:

4 0 8 6 , Reinforce, Recover

6 0 8 4 , Target Lock, Coordinate

Back action isn't target lock. It's Coordinate and a new one. That suggests to me that the Sensor Team's only purpose is to pair with Targeting Coordinator. That, or one of the titles/crew can lock.

I see target lock and coordinate in the aft section.

Hate to break it, but that is definitely Target Lock. See this image for reference:

Well, first of all the product shot is called "SWX30 product shot tall" and I tried a bunch of variant URLs but couldn't find anything in higher resolution. I'm hoping there is something a bit clearer, because I really want to make out the 75% of text that's visible on Juno's pilot card. So far all the upgrades look spot on, especially the new guesses at Tarkin, Ozzel, and Palpatine.

I'm actually pretty sure the unidentified one is a crew or a team. Look at the picture on the card. It's the back of these helmets.

You are right. That's a helmet. And the card is either "limited" or "imperial only".

You're onto something there. That would be enough to offset the name of the card south of center. I think the helmet is a good lead!

Good call. I wonder what the card is called... Looks like it's two lines, with the second line starting with P1 or something of that sort. Any ideas?

... Pilot ...?

Veteran Pilot Team?

Is it me, or does that look like a GR-75 debris cloud? Epic-game obstacles?

They don't look like asteroids or rubble debris that came with the last wave, they do look much more like ship parts.

Look closely at the debris from Wave 5, you'll see that they are ship parts, too!

Don't know what the card would be called,

Based on what? You've said that before, but pretty much everyone else thinks that icon looks just like the target lock action icon, so what are you basing the idea that it is something else on?

Target lock and Coordinate actions. It's pretty obvious if you own one.

And what about the pilots of the Advanced???, anyone gets the ID???, greettings.

It was pointed out they look like the back of the helmets.
