There will always be people dumbfounded by the fact other people have to live on a budget, especially in the category of gaming. I feel your pain, though. I had to say no to Armada and I am done with a few other games, too, now that imperial assault is out.

Yeah, I don't understand either: how can you not buy at least one of every Star Wars miniatures product FFG puts out? Like, physically, how does that work? Maybe it's like quantum mechanics or relativity, I just can't get my head around them.

I understand completely, but I seem to get my budget to work for XWing, WWII (FOW) and hunting/shooting! Jjust don't tell my wife how much I spend on them!!

Armada will make Star Destroyers FEEL like Star Destroyers. The Raider will die too quickly in XWing for the game to feel like it has a Star Destroyer in it. Just being wedge shaped isn't enough.

So I was going back and forth weather or not I wanted to get into Armada, but the real reason was because I like Star Destroyers. Now that we've pretty much got one in X-Wing, My mind is firmly planted here in X-Wing.

Much more powerful power plant than the CR-90 (this one goes to six). That thing can slam the Recover brakes on majorly.

Which doesn't really matter if it then runs out of the energy it needs to actually kill things.

Odd that, given it appears to have much, much smaller engines. I wonder if it will be slower to move (not sure how it could be really), devoting more of its power to weapons and other systems, rather than the engines.
