They've emailed me back saying that once it's released I should order it then reply to the email to have the price reduced to the preorder price. I guess they've realised that any money they would save wouldn't be worth the reputation loss.
Armada - £46 on Amazon UK, with price guarantee

Interesting. They haven't replied to me yet.
Interesting, what address did you mail nekomatafuyu? Contacting Amazon seems to be a rather difficult endevor. Their contact us page doesnt make it easy to mail them in relation to a cancelled order.
From the home page, go to the "Help" page. On there, there's an option for "Need More Help?", which will reveal a link to "Contact Us".
You want to select "An Order I Placed", "Choose A Different Order", "I can't find my order". It will then give you the option to manually enter your order number, select "Other order issues", and give you a button for sending an email (or phone or chat if you'd prefer, but I went with the email option as it gives more of a paper trail to refer to).
I've had the same reply from Amazon. Whether they actually GET stock, or admit they do, or whether they wait a few weeks to list their stock and hope we all lose patience and buy elsewhere remains to seen ![]()
Got the same email and asked that if it was an out of stock and supply issue, then why haven't the expansion packs been removed from their listings? Waiting for a reply.

Can you post the text of your mail to them? Can then complain if I don't get the same result!

Heh. Great minds think alike ![]()
I also emailed them, and got the same response promising to honour the price. So thats nice.
As far as US Amazon goes, I got an email about my order this morning. They didn't cancel the order, and just required me to approve an "update" to the order. The update being that they changed the "Arriving Wednesday (today) by 8pm" to "We're not sure anymore when it'll ship, but we'll let you know when we do know." It's nice though that they are allowing you to still get your price-guarantees though even though they canceled your orders. I figured jumping on the pre-order from Amazon was a long shot at its price too ($53.96 each, I ordered 2), but there was no harm in trying.

Dito, which answers how the delays are affecting the US crowd
Hmmm... my Amazon order hasnt been updated yet, maybe they are still working though the queue.
Or there's finally a perk for ordering from New Zealand?
Hahaha, well mine isn't scheduled to arrive till March 13-18, so has a little while to go yet. ![]()
Heck, ordering through Amazon if they get them this week, you might just get yours on time! ![]()
They have refused to honour any kind of pre order guarantee for me
Tried the email thing twice and have been ignored
Tried the chat window and was told in no way can they make the same offer I'm saying others have got
I will have to pay what they ask when it goes back on order

Element Games then? Or Book Depository, if you don't mind waiting and having no idea when it'll arrive.
I'm wondering if Amazon will cancel the expansion pre-orders too. They're upped the prices significantly since I placed them.
I sent them an email last night and got a response just after midnight GMT. Despite a generally negative tone in their email, they've agreed to price match the original prorder price when the core game comes into stock.
I used the following approach:
1. Stated that I was confused by their reasons for cancellation to the effect that their supplier was unable to get the items, as it was a preorder and wasn't due for release until the end of March or April.
2. Pointed out that other Star Wars products from FFG, including other items from the Armada range were unaffected and surely it should all come from the same supplier.
I didn't go as far as others did in calling them out and accusing them that they were just trying to avoid honouring a low preorder price.
Edited by RaelthorneI'm not 100% convinced they are just trying to avoid a low pre-order rpice....it's certainly not how they usually operate.
My local distributor passed on a rumour (and he stressed it IS a rumour, no evidence) that they are being punished for repeatedly breaking release dates, most recently on the S&V release.

Oh, makes some sense though. Hopefully if that is the case FFG remembers that their customers are the ones who will take the hit on the back end if Amazon doesn't receive enough product in a timely manner.
I heard something similar. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't get any until the second printing. Remember this is only Amazon UK being punished by the looks, the other branches of Amazon are probably unaffected. All it means is we have to get pre-orders through gaming stores in the UK. Not really a problem for us customers

Yeah, I meant you could order from one of them. I'll probably be going with EG myself, they're cheap and so far they seem honest and fast. If anyone decides to order from them for the first time you could use my referral code "SAM308" to get us both extra loyalty points! ![]()
Amazon uk just relisted armada core at full rrp.
Let's see if they will honour the promise they made me in an email to match the original price.
Edited by GrobbJust contact them via support chat. Amazon chat support person asked me to re-order the product (armada core set) and tuned the price to match the earlier cancelled pre-order price.
