That's a vicious C-section happening right there.
Staple attack for mid-range life decks that aren't fronted by Ivy.
The fact that hardly anybody runs any momentum control means that any of Yi Shan's attacks can get out of hand quickly if they're allowed to go face up.
Striking Thunder+Ibis Menuett? Yes plz.
@Arch: Menuett Dance?
I like this attack almost as much as Tiger Claw
Freudian slip. I did indeed mean Dance instead of Ibis.
Yi-Shan NOOOOOOOO its YOUR!!! baby!!!!!!!!!!!!
If I was cool and had photoshop like the rest of you guys, I'd rename the card George Tiller, and have his face over Yi Shan's. Then people would laugh. But I don't have photoshop, so I'll just ***** about it and wish my joke could come to life =/
Eh...it's a mid attack. Works best in conjunction with Atoning for the Past. Simply deal some damage, throw out a Thunder and then add it to your momentum face-up. Also pretty lawl in *Yi Shan* + Ways of Punishment aggro.
It's fun in Felicia. ![]()
Curse you Eithinis, I just logged my way onto the forums (is anybody else still having this problem?) to say the exact same thing.
Felicia
Striking Thunder->Foundation->Foundation->Add with Felicia->Feline Spike for roflrofl
Felicia with yi shan's support is absolutely ridiculous. It's so tasty ![]()
I'd say *Yi Shan* with Yi Shan's support is pretty tasty. I mean, they very purposefully had favoritism when making his support; all of his attacks are MAD strong for their difficulty ratio. *Yi Shan* is throwing Tiger Claws, Thunders, and Dragon Punches at mad damage. *Yi Shan* is spamming attacks like
WOOOO
HOOOOOOO
Looking at it from a design stand point.
There is never a guarantee that his attacks are going to his momentum unless you've jump through some fairly elaborate hoops to do so. To compensate for his attacks being otherwise worthless they were given great stats.
The only one that is really really good is Yi Shan's Tiger Claw. 5 damage for 4 diff and the potential stun 1 on everything else is just dead sexy.
Yi Shan's Spinning Back Fist and Dragon Tail Sweep are both pretty meh. Striking Thunder is great, but mid zone is very risky. Same for Rage of the Dragon and Dragon Punch (and Dragon Punch is a 2 check)
With Owlface gone, I can start running water again. I'm really tempted to try out Spike/Tiger Claw/Striking Thunder with Felicia.

The Ways of Punishment =)
I agree, and man, had they decided to give Yi Shan Good, *Hsien-Ko* would have a field day (much larger than she already does with Harrier Bee). Striking Thunder, if anything, goes well with Siegfried. That guy pukes a pretty mean aggro game.
It can be pretty awkward to roll an aggro game with 6 handsize.
Unless you use Path of the Master+Hulking Brute+Huge Wrestling Army to keep drawing cards and further speed up your damage engine.
It depends.
As I've said before, aggro, in my opinion, came popularly in three names: Adon, Twelve, and Xianghua. They all had a big handsize, and they all had free abilities.
Well, while Yuri, Yi Shan, and Siegfried don't have a big handsize, they have free abilities, and all have Earth, so they're going to have to do for now.
And Path of the Master itself is aggresively-oriented. Seeing as how Yi Shan's support shares 2 symbols with Sieg and Yi Shan, and all 3 with Yuri, that says volumes.
Exactly.
Path of the Master+Hulking Brute+Huge Wrestling Army
Damage+Damage(and draw 1)+Damage(and draw 1)
Especially when both of those damage pumps can serve to net you cards earlier in the game.
Also, what's dangerous about Yi Shan's attacks is that they're just as bad in the discard pile than in the momentum. Tieh Lei, Iron Thunder does not forgive.

A testament to why these bannings were awesome. I LOVE Water and haven't been able to do anything decent with it in a LONG time.
Arch -- assuming you're using a bookmark to get to the forums, change it from "http://new.fffg.blahblahblah" to "http://www.ffg.blahblahblah" . I think that's the problem.
My #1 problem with using Thunder/Tiger Claw is actually the cost on the first E -- it just frustrates me, because I can rarely get a good enough T1 spam (especially on a small HS) to have enough foundations to safely pass control checks AND pump my damage AND tap for the E AND still have a modicum of defense left over because I probably won't be killing anyone.

Then what you should do is get out as many foundations as you can turn 1 then turn 2 play one of them give it a speed boost of some kind then use its enhance and spam foundations the rest of your turn so that on turn 3 you have either +2 to all your attacks or stun 1 which can wreck face if your opponent tried something fancy on there turn 2 and didnt just play foundations
mmmm true. I'm not used to 6HS characters that try to do clever things ![]()
****, you know what deck Yi Shan's stuff would be amazing in? Starter Twelve.

Stacking the SR one? YES.
