The Mysterious PS 8

Who do you think is the pilot from the alternate paint job in the tie advanced fix set? (I mean the new imperial epic ship)

George Lucas

The Inquisitor ?

The paintjob is just the TIE advanced in blue.

If it were the Inquisitor that would be money!!!

The paintjob is just the TIE advanced in blue.

Still an alternate paint job technically. Maybe one of the uniques will be an emperor's hand since palps is in the set too.

Inquisitor.

Or little Annie.

If someone can get me the name, I can get you the pilot ability ;)

but seriously, if someone can squint that name out, or at least some of it, I think i can get you guys the card.

The Inquisitor? Like from Rebels? That would be cool!

If only. I've stared for quite a while, there's just not enough resolution.

I seriously hope it's not the Inquisitor.

I think they purposely lowered the resolution this time...

Who is that Baron fella they showed in Rebels? Maybe it's him.

From Wookeepedia I have these pilots in the Storm Squadron, There's nothing for Tempest Squadron.

Storm Leader:

Alozen We see that he's PS5

Members:

Akal Colzet ( I think it's this guy ) I can't make out the name but it looks like A first and Last name combo

Denner

Kilnstrider

Oberhaur ( This is my second choice ) Commander Oberhur would be the name.

Considering the raider is completely new, our aces might be new too (or at least some of them)

Really curious aboutvtheir abilities. The upgrades have turned the advance into a reliable tank of a ship, and I wonder if the other pilots will strengthen that trend or focus more on control/maneuverability.

Personally would mind seeing kath's ability on one :)

Why? Rebels is supposed to be quite good (it's on my to-watch list), and the Inquisitor is a canon pilot.

At work right now, will try splicing skills when I'm off. Hopefully stress tokens are deployed.

The Inquisitor ?

That's my hope.

Also, consider the ship it comes in.

The Imperial Raider appears in 6 BBY, and is (according to the article) favored for raids in the Outer Rim systems. It even includes a campaign covering such raids! The 'Rebels' TV series is set in 5 BBY...and is set in the Outer Rim systems.

The expansion comes with a TIE Advanced fighter, noting how appropriate that ship is to the missions involved.

The Inquisitor from the 'Rebels' TV series...operating in this area of the galaxy, in this period...flies a TIE Advanced (prototype).

Sure, there are other possibilities, but...the idea of a true cross-over from FFG to the 'canon' series...the ship showing up on the show, and the Inquisitor as one of the TIE Advanced pilots we get...

Oh, man, that'd be delicious...

Who is that Baron fella they showed in Rebels? Maybe it's him.

Well, running into pure fanboy raving at this point...my hope for him (and I do hope we see him) would be...

We kind of still expect a second, 'smaller' Imperial 'huge' ship.

Sooo...that Gozanti variant they call the "Imperial Transport" on the Rebels series? That can tow along four TIE Fighters into battle? Give us that ship as the next imperial 'huge' with a pair of TIE Fighters! (Hopefully, painted in the new ESB-blue that the Advanced comes in).

Baron Valen Rudor would be a great fit for one of those, then...as he does, after all, only fly TIE Fighters in the TV series...

I get that, and perhaps I just need to watch more Rebs (only seen the pilot, wish I could watch more, but no tv while I'm at college...) but I'm not a fan of the character. Especially that lightsaber. Ugh. Rebels just feels so...childish, I guess. TCW was pushing it at times.

Now that I say it all out loud, it does seem like a crappy reason to keep the Inquisitor out of the game, but...hey, I can have an opinion. Just doesn't feel right with me.

Did anyone else notice it's the PS8 pilot cardboard insert in the Advanced model pic of the article?

Guys...I think that says Juno Eclipse.

At first it looked like it started with an H, but looking more carefully I think you may well be right. If so, huzzah.

Even taking the Unique dot into consideration, I think the first half of the name is 1-2 characters too long for that, cool as it would be. Could still be one of the others.

I'm about 90% certain it starts with "•Juno" and about 60% sure it ends in "Eclipse"

Blow up the pic or grab it on your phone, I couldn't make out much of anything until I grabbed my phone and turned it upside down. The post covers the second name but the first one is unobscured.

The more I look at it the more I'm convinced you're right, the second half really looks like an "Ecl" start.

I feel even more positive after clicking on her page on the wiki and seeing that Vader handpicked her to lead the Black Eight Squadron.

I think we can count this as confirmed.

Note: this isn't an an enhance, I simply cobbled together the letters from other pilot cards, then applied a rotate/twist to align it with the base insert. Pretty sure the match is close enough.
