The Emperor Crew

Focus, it gives you a focus, he said in EIII, greettings.

Emperor Palpatine: 0 points. If your ship is destroyed, your opponent wins. If your ship survives the battle, you win, regardless of circumstances. For tournament play, these victories and losses count as maximum margin of victory.

Echo runs like hell for the whole gamegamewhile a mini swarm blocks and Debbie actions for 75 minutes.

I'm guessing he will play like an inverse Toryn Farr or Mass Comm Booster, removing stress &/or granting actions or tokens to allied fighters per energy spent. would be cool if he was more expensive, like 10-12pts, but had much longer range.

Ooh, another idea.

Emperor Palpatine: Huge Ship Only. 6 points. Action: May give a stress token to any other friendly ship at range 1-3 that does not have any stress tokens, and may do this to as many ships as desired. For every ship given a stress token, gain one energy.

The idea is that he can power up your turrets and other abilities at the cost of stress to your escorts (who are very concerned [stressed] about having to make sure he stays alive on a battlefield while riding in a mere Raider).

Though I'm assuming he'll be Huge ship only, I hope he can be equipped and benefit Lambdas as well. Something something free focus action to R1, something something dark side.

Something wicked, like force your opponent to rotate the dial one step to the left or right ^^

Spend one energy to give each enemy ship in range one 1 ion token.

There Rebels! Your Ion-warfare right back at ya!

What is the Emperor's first name? I think its Ralph. Ralph Palpatine. That's why he's so angry... his name simply doesn't flow very well.

Anyhow, he can't be limited to Huge Ship Only, as the only ship we ever saw him on was a Lambda, so we KNOW he can go on at least a Lambda. I expect him to have a wide reaching impact. Something similar to Leia, that effects the whole board.

Some examples of full board abilities:

Cost 10: At the start of the combat phase, discard this card to recover 1 damage card and/or one Shield token on all ships you control. You cannot go over the maximum shield this way.

Cost 8: While in play, all of your ships have their Pilot Skill increased by 1.

Cost 11: Ability: If you have no stress, you may deal 3 damage to this ship to deal 1 critical damage to every enemy ship.

Or maybe he is more focussed....

Cost 6: This ship's red maneuvers are now considered to be white.

Cost 7: While you have a target lock on an enemy ship, every maneuever it makes is considered to be red. (this would be wild).

Cost 8: All friendly ships at range 1-2 may suffer one stress to add [crit] to their attack roll.

Lord Vader (crew) sacrifies his own ship to fulfill his duty.

I'm sure the Emperor would glandly sacrifice any friendly ship - but of course not his own.

Maybe he is able to make a friendly ship fire again (primary) after it has already attacked and hit. then the freindly ship suffers 2 red dice damage + an ion token is assigned ....

I see no problem with 'the emperor' on a raider. He arrives at the death star in a lambda shuttle so its a step up from that (equally vader has his own shuttle in the ot)

Perhaps I'm wrong, but I always assumed that both the Emperor and Vader simply took the shuttle from a ISD or SSD to Endor/DSII. It's not you can dock a SSD or ISD to the DSII.

Emperor Palpatine-0 points fleet cost

Cackle Maniacally while you cause all opposing ships that are not X-Wings to instantly be removed from table and count as destroyed.

All opposing player X-Wings add 3 sheilds, 3 agility, and 3 Firepower for rest of game. Also choose 1 X-Wing to gain 2 free focus tokens per game turn.

....there is your X-Wing fix along with your Advanced Fix.

It's playtested...totally legit.

I'm positive that's exactly what they showed. Vader came from a regular ISD, and the Emp arrived from a SSD.

It's "Sheev", actually. Sheev Palpatine.

Well you can dock it, it just doesn't end well.

Maybe they are prepping us with a crew card to be used on the next Imperial Epic release, THE DEATH STAR!!!

Why waste time with lowly ISDs!?! LOL!

I think Ralph fits better. ;)

I'm partial to Chevrolet Palpatine, but that's just me.

a discard effect might seem odd, but

At the start of the activation phase you may discard the emperor. Then treat all green maneuvers as white until the end of the round.

They already did a discard with Leia Organa so it's isn't odd at all.

Her ability is to change Red to White so I think it's odd that you think it's odd.

I think the two would be too similar. I hope it's something with more bite.

So when you discard the Emperor, what do you do? Just chuck him out the air lock?

Emperor should be good.

You toss him down a shaft.

You toss him down a shaft.

Silly me. Of course you do.

Oddly enough, in episode 3, Shaft failed to get Sheev.

6 points. All friendly ships at range 1-2 may reroll one attack die per round.
