could this be an episode 7 ship?

“Before we even announced the Tantive IV™ Expansion Pack, we knew Imperial players would need a comparable ship to lead their fleets in the game’s Epic Play battles. But none of the ships within the established IP and extended universe quite fit the bill. As we looked at ships that were larger than the VT-49 Decimator, the next possibility was the Lancer-class frigate at 250m; however, that was larger than we wanted for the scope of the game. Moreover, it didn’t quite fit the desired role, so we worked with Lucasfilm Ltd. and drew upon existing materials to create a new starship that fit seamlessly into the aesthetics and background of the Star Wars universe.

Or they just made it up with Lucasfilm, which is certainly how i read that.
China. That's where all the X-Wing ships come from.

Seems that way yes. Maybe they gave Lucasfilm the stats they wanted and let them design the model. Or else they created it themselves and got Lucasfilm to approve the model.
Either way it's completely new.
FWIW, this is why it took so long for the Imperial epic.

Exactly what I was thinking. Makes some sense now.

Or they only want to do 1-2 Epic releases a year.
It does look bloody fantastic though. Very menacing, way better than that stupid looking Vigil
it could be a ship that shows up in episode 7
Given the relatively muted announcement of it's release I somehow doubt that.
If the first toy / collectible from the upcoming Star Wars film had been released it would have received a LOT more attention than a simple press release on FFG's site ........ and Disney wouldn't licence it to FFG ....... and it would have been in stores 2 months ago ..... and and and
I'll bet it shows up in the Armada game though. And an outside chance it might show up in Star Wars Rebels (to make it canon).
This is where it came from.

Or Rebels. Rebels is 5BBY I think and this ship was made in 6BBY. I hope it shows up in the show. Even if just in the background.

Yet is has a very Vigil-like Command Bridge, more so than other Imperial Corvette design they could of been inspired by.

It does seem more likely to appear in Rebels (6-BBY vs 5-BBY) vs Episode 7 (6-BBY vs 34-ABY)
Every game has brought new ships to this universe. I personally like its design. It looks a bit small for its looks, but its cool.
What I wonder is... considering the ships from this game is from the "Legends" canon and not the oficial canon. This might be one of the LAST "Legends" aditions to this universe.

Keep in mind that this is not at the regular 1/270 scale. It is the same size as a CR-90, so scale it up a bit before judging size.
As for canon, they worked with LFL to design the thing, so I assume it includes the story group's stamp of approval.
Bytheway, here is a reference. The Centurion-class battlecruiser:
I think this is pretty much the inspiration for this new ship.
I think there is every chance that this beautiful thing will show up in Rebels, maybe in Season 2 or something. The fact that it was designed in communication with Lucasfilm speaks well to its prospects for showing up in some form of official media.
It comes from a warm and fuzzy place deep inside the heart where my little ponies run wild and free with hello kitty.

You may be right about that.
