Guaranteed 2 hits a turn, focus, evade, Barrel Roll every turn?

The way that card is worded Vader can't have the X1 title. He's flying and x1 already so he can't have it, it's "tie advanced only "

I hope this isn't the case. Vader would be nasty with the title, as he should be.

Vader + Lone Wolf + Title + Sensor Jam + Prokects = 34 points

Focus and evade every turn and try and kill him.

How bout super mobile Vader of death:

Vader + DD + Title + Avd. Sensors + EU + Prokects = 39

U-turn Vader. Adv. sensor boost, then Daredevil, then clear the **** stress with a green maneuver! Tycho I have you now!

So many possibilities!

For all you questioning whether or not Vader can take this upgrade, think about what it says on the dial he uses. Seriously, this isn't that hard.

Still, I like the options. The free sensors is one thing a lot of people bandied around. But the Advanced Targeting Computer is where the real fix is happening. Maarek is now very, very viable. Vader with Outmaneuver is going to be tossing some crits out onto the Falcon. And then, we have 4 new pilots coming. Alozen is pretty cool, with the free TL. Synergizes nicely with the new fix. I have a feeling that Accuracy Corrector is not the auto include any more that some would claim.

Also, the Worlds Promo does not say "TIE Advanced" or "TIE Advanced x1" on it, it only has the standard icon for the Advanced. MRP lol

I would put money on Vader being able to use the title.

Vader with ATC for 30 points is pretty scary, right? PS9 so he almost always gets the TL on whoever he wants, 2 actions for Focus/TL + bonus crit. Give him an Engine and VI for a total of 35 and he's just a monster. If you're running, he can catch you, he can dodge arcs (or get inside donut holes), he can tank with Focus+Evade actions + AGI3 and 5 HP. Now he can also do reliable, dangerous damage. Switch VI for Predator if PS 11 isn't important to you. Seems like a not bad deal.

I was gonna be clever and say "someone played L5R...." in regards to the MRP but then I saw your name it was less clever. >.> <.<

Back on topic, I am very excited for this. I really like the Advanced conceptually, and this shores up the empires missing 22ish point ships slot nicely.

To clarify, I realize they have ships in that range, but the shuttle is a unique beastie, and very rarely actually comes in at 22ish, and let us face it, Interceptors start at 25 (24, maybe..)

To contrast, a Tempest or Storm squadron with an Accuracy Corrector is actually a scary little ship in its own right, and only 21/23 points.

Powerful, but he'll die really fast. Losing 1 agility and an action for 1 dice i don't think is worth it. But it IS mean as hell, no argument!

You could switch some upgrades around, like getting a shield on Soontir removing TC on phenirr, or for a stealth device + 1 point iniative bid.

Falcon Hunting party:

Tempest + Title + FCS + Cluster Missiles X 4

Shoot at the Falcon at Range 3. Gain a TL then move in for the kill. If you can manage to get all 4 alive and into range 1 or 2 you are rolling 24 attack dice against the Falcon. It will ******* melt.

So, I'm thinking Maarek (27) + Marksmanship (3) + X1 + Advanced Targeting Computer (1) + Experimental Interface (3). Crits galore!

Advanced Targeting Computer also gives an interesting little bump to Homing Missiles.

It does, imo, at least make the tempest a more attractive option than the rookie pilot over at rebels

empire's been hurting for 21-30+ range ship that wasnt the awesome but fragile interceptor, and the Tie Advance has bulk, With AC, it'll actually be able to kill things maybe, while evading for days.

Although it's easily overlooked with all the goodies spoiled today, this will also mean a free sensor jammer for tank builds. I can't wait to get these new cards on the table.

PS9 mitigates that a lot. You don't have to use expose if you're in arc.

I'm really expecting one or two of the new pilots to capitalize on that; I'd go so far as to predict each of them to interact with one sensor really well. The new PS5 pilot they spoiled works great with the AdvTC but wouldn't bother with a FCS, for example.

By RAW, Vader can't move, since there doesn't exist a dial for him.

I just mentioned that in one of the other threads and I am ridiculously excited to start running those. I think two AC Tempests will be fantastic alongside Chiraneau, or even a pair of PTL Squints. Maybe Royal Guards with Autothrusters and Targeting Computers? So many options!
