It was a twin interceptor, decimator (Oinkon iirc) and.... a Tie Fighter? I don't remember.
Puget Sound 2015 Store Championships
That gives me an idea for a new plan for this weekend's tourneys: "Get my opponents drunk."
I hope we face off!
If the winner was a Decimator with Soontir Fel and an Academy. I faced him my first match and he and I finished SUPER close.
I had Corran Horn left with something like 1 hull and 1 shield (I had R2-D2) and I was at range 1 and in arc on his last ship (decimator) with 5 hull. I attack first and take off 3 of the 5 left on him and he manages to get 2 hits and I roll all blanks on defense and 1 eye and no focus (stressed). If I could have managed one evade I was certain I would have rolled 2 hits to finish him during the end phase.
Bummer, but a great game.
... if that is the guy that finished first (I won't reveal his name) I happy to have played so well against him.

He did finish first.
Card Kingdom Store Championship finished up at 2 AM this morning.
1st place:
Echo w/ VI, ACD, rec spec, FCS
Chiraneau w/ PtL, Vader, Ysanne Isard, Engine Upgrade
2nd place (me, yay!)
Etahn w/ PtL, Adv Sensors, R2-D2
Blue B
3x Bandits
I'm not sure who ended up in 3rd and 4th. I think they were tied and ended up rolling a die. I was puzzled but it wasn't my business so I didn't inquire.
One list was:
Wedge w/ Swarm Tactics, Hull Upgrade
Tarn Mison w/ R7 astromech
Roark w/ Blaster Turret, Rec Spec, Moldy Crow
Bandit
The other was a Chewbo build but I don't know the specifics because I didn't play it. Anyone else want to chime in?
^ Cool. Thanks for sharing. How many people were at Card Kingdom?

33 at start.
Just got back from the Around the Table Championship. 24 showed up I believe, the 1 seed after 4 rounds of Swiss was running a swarm and he absolutely steamrolled everyone he played he seriously lost like 3 ties the entire tournament. I was the 2 seed ran 3 Blues, a Tala and Blount with Deadeye and Ion Pulse. After 4 rounds of Swiss he dropped, not sure why, and I did too so the final four ended up being 3 Blues with tactician and a Gold with R3-A2 and ion turret; Oicunn with something like saboteur, dauntless, determination, rebel captive, anti-pursuit, an Academy then Soontir with PTL, Hull and Stealth; Krassis with HLC/rebel captive then two royal guards with ptl and auto thrusters; and lastly Dash with Outrider, HLC, Nien, PTL and Corran with Marksmanship, R2D2, Experimental Interface and FCS.
TO did a great job and ran a very smooth tournament, gave a free drink to all participants and then had some door prizes for everyone at the end as well.
What was the swarm list, do you recall? There was a really good swarm player named Jeremy with 2 bombers and 5 TIEs at the Card Kingdom event yesterday. Curious if he was making the rounds.
I didn't play him or get a closeup look at his list, maybe someone else on here can post what it was exactly but I know he had 7 ties and Howl was one of them.

Howlrunner with Determination and Hull Upgrade
2x Black Squadron Pilot with Draw Their Fire
4x Academy Pilot
I ran the Panic Attack team, but this list mauled me. I killed one Academy Pilot. He flew it like a champ and did a .
Oicunn and Krassis were the final two teams and are probably wrapping up soon, but I was too exhausted after ~20 hours of X-Wing over the last two days too stick around and watch. Had a blast, though. Loads of thanks to both Card Kingdom and Around the Table for running them!
Oh wow. I figured he'd run the same list he won with. Definitely a solid list.
Had a lot of great matches at ROT. Too bad 3 of them did not go my way at the end. I'm not entirely sure, but out of 24 players I think I was the only one to field an actual X-wing. It was a fun time though.
I played in both of the Puget Sound area store championships this weekend.
My list at Card Kingdom (sat) I was trying something different with Dash, a Blue Squadran and Cracken... it failed miserably. I went 0-3 killing only a tie acedemy in those first three games. 4th Game I was up against 3 tie defenders and I won 100-0 to at least salvage the day.
At Round the Table I went back to Dash and Corran Horn and I was in that final four. First time I've gone 4-0 in a tourney during the swiss round before the cut.
Lots of fun. Great players with great attitudes and a fly casual spirit all weekend. The TOs at both tourneys were good and on top of things.
Looks like a few more weeks of store championships left in my first season.

Who won this tourney? The Oicuun/Soontir/Academy OR the Krassis + 2 Royal Guards?
I wanted to stay and watch the final but with it starting at 9:30 PM and my 1 hour drive home and getting up for work early today I could not get myself to stay for another hour plus.
The Ocuinn build was nasty. I was actually sabotaged! I had 3 ships, an A and 2 X-wings vs. his Decimator which I had eaten a bit into his hull. My A-wing had 1 hull and my Rookie had no shields. Tarn though was unscathed. In one round he had bumped my A-wing to kill it, and then shot my X-wing to kill that. Tarn alone could not take him out.
Whoever won the Card Kingdom championship was the same guy who ran the swarm with the 1 seed. He came in before the tourney started and loudly declared that he won the CK championship and that he didn't care about winning this one so he'd just fly something silly. Didn't work.
I played the guy (Steve) with the Blues and Y-Wing. He was a good guy and his list was control oriented, dealing a ton of stress. I was by far the worst player there, but I love that place. Tourney was run very well.

(Also, aww shucks, someone in the internet said I was a good guy!)
I do wish Nick would have been able to make it, though. Guy is probably the best among the ATT regulars (sorry, Jeff) so it would have been great to have him helping defend the home turf.
That would have been me! Were you the guy doing only his second game ever? If so, don't worry about it. Everyone has been that guy at some point, except maybe Paul Heaver.Whoever won the Card Kingdom championship was the same guy who ran the swarm with the 1 seed. Awesome! Glad it ended up going so well for you.
My tie swarm did pretty good. 4 academies, 2 scimitars with seismic charges, and backstabber. I took 8th at the CK tournament because I lost by initiative. At the end, it was 2 academies and a scimitar vs an Ethan with R2-D2 Adv Sensors, and PTL. I got it down to 1 hull in one turn but it managed to regenerate all the way the rest of the game. It was a very good game and I am glad I made it that far.
I don't think I will be going to any other tournaments this year since I am getting married and I doubt my fiance would look too kindly on skipping the wedding for an x-wing tournament.
Edited by nimdabewNah she'd be cool with it I bet.
Do you have a theme for the reception? If not, have your reception double as a Regional.
congratulations

I don't know how a Tie Swarm is "silly".

According to Around the Table's Facebook page, Jeremy was the winner. He would have been the Krassis/Royal Guard squad.
