epic games or whatever with the big ships are 300 points right? did i do something wrong or can you fly 25 tie fighters like that? or 16 interceptors... that would be nice too....

Unfortunately, Epic games put a cap on the number of a specific ship you can run.
However, if you're willing to do Bombers as well as Fighters....
Yeah 12 is the most you can run of any ship.
Which is the exact amount of Sigma Squadrons you could run in a 300 point match... 
You can also do the incredibly hilarious Epic TIE Howl swarm with Howlrunner, Mithel, 9 Black squads all with Swarm tactics, and one Academy to end the combo a la TIP OF THE SPEAR! Have twelve fighters shoot at PS8, then when Howl dies they can still shoot at PS7, then he dies and they're still fours.

I need at least two more Ties to run a true swarm, but need to try it out! Its the only build that frustrates me when I see it across the table!
