Afraid not. Lone Wolf's text says:

When attacking or defending, if there are no friendly ships at Range 1-2, you may reroll one of your blank results.

So it can't be used outside of an attack.

You cannot re-roll it because for the "Lone Wolf" ability to take effect, you need to be attacking or defending. When trying to resolve a crit effect, you are using an action. That means that you are neither attacking or defending. Therefore, the "Lone Wolf" ability does not apply.
