1. No. "Carve a path" only removes the restriction about moving through enemy figures, not moving through barriers like a portcullis.

2. Yes. Since Shadow soul is not about moving from space A to space B, but allows you to "place" your figure wherever the shadow soul is, you can move through whatever you want (you're not moving through the portcullis, you're disappearing and reappearing on the other side of it.) Tinashi's heroic feat can also do this.

3. You can count spaces through a portcullis, and since sleight of mind involves removing your figure from the map, yes, it can.

4. No. Again, you can't move through a portcullis. I recommend looking at the rules for a portcullis "blocking movement."

1. The image token has attributes, Therefore, if it is targeted and forced to test an attribute (say the Overlord plays "Pit Trap,") the image token may test to avoid the trap. An image token may not perform attribute checks on its own (that is, it cannot open a door that requires a might check, but that's because it doesn't ever take actions.)

2. A villager would behave the same as the image token, except they usually are granted actions. If an Overlord plays "Pit Trap" on a villager treated like a hero, if that villager has attributes, you may test them. If he has no attributes described in the quest guide, he automatically fails, just like a monster.

thank you.

can i placed image token in the other side of portculis?

thank you.

can i placed image token in the other side of portculis?

Normally, the portcullis does not block line of sight but you need to be able to measure 2 spaces from the conjurer to be able to do so. Some special quest rules may prohibit this, though.
