I am new to the FF Star Wars Universe, but I've been playing SW RPGs since West End. I'm no noob to the universe. My question is have they released stats for Jawas as playing characters, if so, which book? That way I can purchase it.

Aren’t they in the Unofficial Species Menagerie? If so, then that would at least give the OP a reference that they could provide to their GM and see if they can get approval to play them.

Nope. I think it's out of date on several resources, including a couple that last I checked (which admittedly was some time ago) no longer exist.
Then again, I don't think I made any notable changes to the Jawas between those two versions, so it's kind of a moot point.
