Missouri X-Wing players here's a great opportunity to get your friends playing X-wing with you!
January 18th Valhalla's Gate will be putting on their first X-wing Tournament of the new year. We are doing something a little special to kick it off right.
Rookies and Vets team tournament. Entry fee: $5 for the Vets Rookies play for free
Two man teams: Each consisting of one fairly inexperienced player(Rookie) and a veteran of the game(Vet).
Build composition: Each players will pilot one small based ship under 30 points. Both players must pick their ships from the same faction. The Rookie player must play a ship with a pilot skill 4 or less (After upgrades). But for every 5 points they don't use on their build, they will receive a free Adrenaline Rush EPT* to be used during their matches. The Vet player must play a ship with a pilot skill of 5 or more. This is to keep veterans communicating with their rookies so that they may minimize bad maneuvers and build overall teamwork. Due to balancing issues and taking away from the spirit of the game Lone Wolf EPT is restricted from this tournament.
Rounds will be scored by ships destroyed.
The winning team will receive two prizes. The Vet will receive a gift certificate and the Rookie will receive a new X-wing Core Starter Set.
After the main event both rookies and vets can take their ships and participate in separate Fur Ball games for additional prizes.
*Maximum total of 3 on a ship -Adrenaline Rush- When you reveal a red maneuver, you may discard this card to treat that maneuver as a white maneuver until the end of the Activation phase.
