You never know when you might need 6 Outriders...
Deal of the Century!!!
Given the insane number of ships, I noticed that he has only 2 Defenders... Talk about ship popularity...
FWIW...
I added up the retail price of all those ships, it comes to $3,915, so you're only paying about a grand over retail...
And that's without taking into account how many came from starter boxes, the X-wings from the rebel transports, the fact that a transport is missing the engines, and the number of missing cards. Maybe the extra charge is for the repaints, but I am not seeing $1100 worth of repainting there. Heck, even if I was too impatient to wait for Q1 of next year for restocks, I am pretty sure the 50% savings on everything else would make up for me buying some $70 firesprays off of amazon.
I honestly think I could put this deal together new for $2500 with all the parts. Honestly if the guy thinks the out of stock and repaints are worth more than retail, he should break those off into separate lots. I can't buy 43 X-Wings to get 6 slaves or a dozen repaints.

He lists 4 Defenders, but only has 2 shown in that one picture.
I sold off some of my extra stuff a while back, and pretty much got retail for it. Given it was pretty much a full set of everything to get someone up to speed (up to W3, W4 had just come out and I bought what I needed from that), less a standalone X wing, TIE fighter, and X Wing Transport. I did notice that the buyer was an international dude, and he paid over $100 in shipping to get it to Australia, so he paid about 25% over retail.
But that might not seem like such a bad deal when you take into account the "retail" prices in non-US countries, as well as the availability of the ships. I've seen multiple people complain about the tourney scene in Australia and how long it takes to get ships there. So... 25% over retail for an international sale isn't a bad deal. However, when you're talking about $5000 instead of $200, the audience is greatly reduced (as such, so is the demand) and therefore he's unlikely to sell it at that point. Personally, I think he would do better to break them up into smaller "sets" and target the 200-500 range, though that would take more time (since you wouldn't want to list them all at once).

Yeah. I can't imagine most people have 5 grand to drop on a game, even those who do spend that much don't do so at one time.
Also who would ever want 43 X-Wings? Even if you were hosting a epic game, you still can't use more than 24.
If I had that kind of money to drop on a game, at one time. I'd still not bother with his action unless I thought I could sell part of it off.
