I was going to order directly from FFG's website but it still says it's not available. Any idea how long it takes for them to open up for orders?

Should be soon. I believe I saw someone on BGG post that they had bought their copy from FFG in-person at their store.
I heard from FFG due to the Hasbro Boardgame license conflict they will not be actually selling IA through their website.
Why not just buy it from a LGS to help them out, or from another online retailer to help them out and save some money yourself?

Hey R5Don4, just got an email from my FFG contact that what you said is correct. Hasbro has the rights to "Star Wars Boardgames" so it won't be for sale on their website. Well crap... I guess I'll be buying a whole bunch more of X-Wing.
Yeah, I believe they have HWKs in stock now, not much else. Boo.
I understand that they want to keep their stores stocked and this website's store is prolly the last place to get stocked, but if you're going to give someone playtest credit it would be nice to have something for them to pick.
