We just finished an epic (aren't they all?) game of Runewars. Daqan player declared victory in the spring, and the Latari and Uthuk were not able to steal away a rune- he actually acquired another. In the fall, the Waiqar player attacked a territory with 3 food, and played "Pillage." The Daqan's food dial went TO ZERO, and at the start of winter he lost 4 of his 7 runes. Absolutely crippling for him. I don't think I have ever seen resources swing this game so dramatically before.

Yikes! I've never had food go all the way to zero, though that would be devastating! Protect that 3-food area, and if you don't think you can, ABANDON IT before it bites you
