Arcanacon XXXIII
X-Wing Epic Big Battle
Sunday January 25 2015
Organised by Django Upton
Arcanacon XXXIII is a games convention held in Melbourne from January 23 to 26, 2015.
This X-Wing event is one of many events at the convention.
Star Wars: X-Wing Miniatures Game is a fun Star Wars space combat game using miniatures, cards and dice.
The rules used will be the standard rules as updated with a latest errata and Epic tournament rules on the FFG website at tinyurl.com/X-Wing-Rules except as follows:
Play will consist of a single large battle starting at 4pm and finishing by 7pm taking up session I in the timetable. The play area will consist of a single large table consisting of a 3’x3’ section for each pair of players. Each Player will deploy within a single table width but may move outside that during play.
One side of the table will have Alliance players while the other will have Empire players. Any Scum and Villainy Players may be assigned to either side to balance the numbers. Players should be prepared to provide a Squadron from an alternative faction in case their preferred choice would unbalance the numbers.
Players will use 200 point squadrons built with the Epic Team tournament restrictions. Proxy cards and printouts from Squadron builders may be used.
Pre-registered players should submit their preferred and alterative squadrons to the organizer at [email protected] by Monday January 19 as simple lists. Do not send squadron builder files.
Scoring will be by adding together the points of ships you have destroyed and the points of ships you have remaining at the end of play. Medallions and Prizes will be awarded to the Top Places for each faction.
All players must register with Arcanacon. Entry fee is free if also playing in the X-Wing tournament otherwise a single session ticket. Arcanacon information and online registration is at www.arcanacon.org
Arcanacon XXXIII will be held at Melbourne High School, Forest Hill St, South Yarra (Melways 2L/3K).
