Personally, I am a TRUCK NOT MUNKEY level G1 fan. But I still have a level of respect for the storytelling they did in Beast Wars. I'm also a realistic G1 fan who can objectively see that the original series had cool character designs and backstories and HIDEOUS execution. The Movie is 84 minutes of gospel as far as I'm concerned and there's nothing else until Prime and the Cybertron games. There's a LOT of bad out there in the T-forms world, and in many ways Beast Wars can be considered a bright spot.

I do appreciate most of the Transformers series in general, even though I am tired of so many people thinking that every season must be inspired by G1, or else it's no good. (Luckily those people are few, even if they are loud.) As to the movies, I love the toys since they use realistic vehicles, which is a big draw for me, but the movies themselves are cringe-worthy to say the least.

Have you seen some of those beast wars neo toys? There are some pretty awesome ones in that line, including a penguin and giraffe. (LONGRACK!) For me it's been deluxe insecticons and the dinobots. Judging by teh toys even bay couldn't F those up.

Yeah, the series is great, but I never bought any of the toys. I just wasn't feeling it. (Though the toys and series are great; I would still recommend it to someone.)
