At range one that is 5 dice with the decie that can attack again if they miss and gets min 1 crit.

Mauler Has 4 dice at range 1 and can ping another ship with ruthlessness With the Black squad tie and him together they should beable to drop smaller ships in one turn when working together.

One thing I learned with the Expose Chiraneau build is that you don't need gunner. You almost won't miss unless you're shooting a phantom. In which case bringing Vader as a crew would be better. Ditch gunner and saboteur, for Ysanne and Vader for both more defense and offense (use Vader VERY selectively).

Don't forget that you need to Hit for Ruthlessness to work. So on Mauler it may be OK, but the BSP, even with TC, might be tough to trigger. Plus, with that many Ruthlessness on the board, in the end game, you'll have a hard time not hitting yourself with it.

I'd have said Wingman on the Black Squad, just to deal with those pesky Stress tokens you'll trigger with E.I.

P.S. : +1 with Ysanne / Vader instead of Gunner / Saboteur...

Yeah, wingman is a good one, especially after that other guy posted about his dual TIEs with wingman build that worked very well.

As long as you can get a target lock with the rear admiral with expose you're almost always going to get 4-5 hits and crits so gunner imo is not an effective use of points. I've been running a decimator firespray list and have had good results with it:

I've considered swapping gunner for mara jade or recon specialist with seismic charges. Also if you know you're going to face swarms a lot, weapons engineer is a good swap for rebel captive.
